What about adding the ability for french resistance soldiers to pick up german weapons because they did that during the German occupation of France. Although it would make them cost more still not sure what though

Just going to put it out there, gas was banned by the Geneva convention and very rarely used during WW2. A few isolated incidences sure but it was never a regular weapon of war. My unit suggestion is a spotter, large radius for stealth detection and improves the accuracy of nearby AT cannons, machine guns, maybe extend the accuracy bonus to other units as well such as AAA cannons and 50. cals

The Russians were quite literally on the other side of the war.

I suggested the latter in the official mud and blood 2 forums. The idea got shot down saying it was too like the spec. ops. :-( The Spec Ops. are arguably based off either the British Commandos from the time period [check out the MnB Wiki for more on the publicly accepted origin of them]

How bout units with Flak Jackets, or an option to upgrade troops to have flak jackets? cause nades are very overpowered…
They aren’t overpowered, un-careful throwing can kill oneof your own men and only a direct hit will gib. I think he meant the Panzergrenadiers, they have an uncanny nack for being able to throw grenades directly onto your troops(or close enough
to injure/kill multiple) but it’s supposed to be frustratingly over-difficult.

Well, they sure as shit are stronger than zookas, cause zookas can hit people in the feet and they can still walk, while grenades can kill from ridiculous range.
Grenades are Fragmentation, meaning that instead of an actual explosion you get a blast that launches shrapnel up to 5 metres in a 360 degree direction. if you take into consideration how big 5 metres in-game would be in contrast to how wide a soldier is, grenade damage range is actually smaller then it should be.
However, Bazookas are Anti-Tank, and are thus not Fragmentation, but rather High-Explosion. this gives it the ability to do huge amount of damage when colliding with the target. Kill zone for fragmentation grenades are three to five yards(like you said) but can hit a target all the way out to about twenty yards. Frags in this game are a little bit nerfed as anti-infantry. and as far as anti-tank. no amount of frags can destroy a Panzer or Tiger or Sherman for that matter. However, because the rocket from a bazooka would blast upward/out after being unable to penetrate the dirt(being that there’s 1000s of feet of it) the concussive blast would be hazardous from a further distance than what is in game as well. But that is the way URB intended it. German armour was some of the most fearsome and deadly equipment on the battlefield. Thusly, he made them overpowered against infantry(exactly the way they were in WWII. Even our own tanks got the crap kicked out of them most the time)

Hmm A German Sturmtruppen unit woud be a pretty cool unit to face. Armed with an STG 44 and has better than average close combat skills. The strumtruppen would also have very high morale so as its almost impossible to pin them down.
As for an American unit I would suggest a pathfinder who can deploy a beacon to make drops more accurate both crates and paratroopers. Pathfinders could be armed with M1 Carbines and bayonets so as they are decent on a battle line and in close combat. There is a German unit very much like what you suggested; the Waffen SS. They carry STG44s, can fire on the run(accurately) and from what I can remember from seeing them, are impossible to pin(literally) unless killed. I don’t know about their melee capabilities though.

How about an M1C Garand? Semi automatic, yet scoped. If you don’t believe me,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M1_Garand#M1C_and_M1D_sniper_rifles
Maybe 4tps for our snipers.
