Hello, I started the game a few weeks back and I'm currently at P Baal V5 and my friend has been urging me to do the challenges with him but from what I know, doing challenges also 'resets' your game because it takes away all the bonuses that you have gotten so far. Is it really worth it though?
And also, I heard certain challenges do not reset certain bonuses like building speed etc etc. So supposedly I were to do them, would it be better for me to do speed runs first to get more GP while fucking my multipliers since the multipliers will reset once I do the challenge?
I always say "Multis come, and Multis go, GP spent on permanent items is forever"
Without 1 UBC, you can't do UBv2s. A UBC is a decent amount of GP and a nice stat multi. You can't keep climbing without stat multi, either paying for it at 50gp a pop or by earning it as listed on the stats page.
Do yourself a favor and get over the attachment to your multis now. You can easily climb faster after a UBC than before it.
UBC/UAC remove all stat multis and temporily reset your clones, CC, BS, CS. AACs/ UUCs, don't. DRCs and 1K DRCs reset only your multis, not clones, BS, CS, CC.
What Robstradomus said. Progress in the game is measured in GP and challenge rewards (and a few other things), not in your multipliers. Multipliers are temporary and used to reach specific tactical goals. (E.g., if you've beat P.Baal V5 you just got a new pet, this looks like a good time to start some challenges and/or speed runs before shooting for the next pet).
But if you're starting a challenge (in your case it would be either UBC or DRC), don't do it right away. First you need to milk your current multipliers for all they're worth - do several very fast runs (15-30 min each), your multipliers will drop like crazy but you'll quickly earn some cheap GP. Then when your multipliers are low, you can start a UBC/DRC which will reset them.
I'll emphasize that when you do a UBC, you lose your GP (and GP purchases) *temporarily*. You get it back once you finish the challenge. So farming GP until your multipliers run out makes sense even before a UBC. UAC is the same. In all other challenges you keep your GP, the more you have the easier the challenge.

Depending on how late you started, capping out clones killed during a long UAC is reasonable (but I must emphasize it must be long and with some level of attentiveness to afky God, I'm 50 days in and not capped at 25m on clone kills yet, but I haven't really optimized for it). I think capping power, however, is unlikely unless you have do multiple long runs (whether it be multiple UACs or at least multiple long rebirths like AACs) to build up the experience multiplier: during the same 50 days into my long passive UAC so far and my highest power is about 6m (and so only about 600k stat multi). That said, because I have not had a ton of runs or opportunity to build up the afky xp multi before this run (and only 4 rebirths in the last 50 days thus far with which to build it) I only have 2.09 afky god xp multiplier.

It depends on how long you play. If you play for 5+ years it is easily the turtle, if you play short term it's all the 1caps you've obtained along with a significant dent in the afky clones killed department.
