hey is it worth it to get a new pet or should i just keep leveling mine up?

Look at the new pet’s stats and stuff, and decide. Often it’s not worth changing, but sometimes it is.

K thanks thats kinda what i thought but its nice to have others input

I ended up using any melee pet to take hits (like the starter)
and a ranged pet like thundersnake against slow bosses or flying enemies.

Find your favourites and level them.
Mine are:
Normal Snake (melee, good evasion)
Thunder Snake (ranged, may stun, can shoot in any angle)

i stuck with my starter pet till he was lvl 10, then got baby poison bug, then poison bug, then baby gila monster, then gila monster, Beat Vulcan with Gila Monster, got baby fire starter, now im trying to get the best pet in the game, FIRE STARTER

I actually looked at this post wanting a cute pet name? anyone have some?

I sticked with my starter until level 10, which I switched to the baby poison bug. I’m still using it, I’m waiting right now for my thunder snake to hatch. They’re always so annoying; 2 of them can take me and my pet down.
I got a baby gila monster egg, but I feel it’s agility is far too slow.
