Who can’t wait for the exciting conclusion to the Assassin’s Creed saga? You will play as a much older and wiser Ezio Auditore as you begin a quest to find the secrets left behind by the legendary master assassin Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad.

I like the Assassin Creed series but not so much as to wait for it’s release like most people wait for the Call of Duty series. I’m more of a arcade game type when it comes to major consoles.

Ezio will continue to look 30, his sister will continue to look 20, and his mother will continue to look 50, although she should definitely be dead by now
Fix’d that for you.

Revelations is going to be the last Assassin’s Creed game?
There’s not going to be an Assassin’s Creed III? :(

No, it’s the last of the “Assassin’s Creed II trilogy” (called as such by me since Brotherhood and Revelations barely expand on the game mechanics of AC: II), it’s basically just finishing up Ezio and Altair’s stories. Assassin’s Creed III is gonna be played with Desmond.

Ah, I see.
I was hoping III would introduce another ancestor, with Desmond then being the main character in an even later one.
Still looking forward to III, since I never bothered with the spin-offs.

Waitwaitwait. III is about Desmond? Seriously?
Screw Revelations and Altair and Ezio and all that junk. I want to run around as a futuristic assassin. That’s what I wanted from the series from the start. Well, that, and tighter controls and better writing. But mainly, to run around in the future as Desmond. Oh man~

I would’ve liked to have seen an ancestor in a modern setting, before we see Desmond in the future setting.
But oh well.

That would work too. Modern is fine with me too. I just. . . I dunno. I got annoyed at the whole “You only get to really be an assassin when you’re playing pretend in the past”, or whatever. Every game I keep an eye on because I hope. I hope so dearly. And I keep being disappointed.

Revelations may not be the last game in the AC II era, and AC III will not have Desmond as the main playable protagonist, but another one of his ancestors

I’ve definitely read the Revelations’ main purpose was to wrap up the stories of Altair and Ezio, while setting up for AC: III
Though after reading, it seems you’re right about there being another protagonist, though this does not necessarily mean that Desmond won’t have a large role in gameplay.

Desmond always has the largest role in the games, he’s the main protagonist. The ancestors you play with are his.
And yeah, Revelations is probably the last game in the AC II era, though you never know for sure, they may still have some ideas for something. A few DLC’s, or something similar

I honestly think one of the future Assassin’s Creed games will be played as Subject 16, maybe ACIII. We see in the beginning of ACII that him and Desmond are somehow related, since Ezio is an ancestor to both of them. However, since he died in the Abstergo laboratories, maybe Desmond could use the Animus and explore his memories to learn more information about Abstergo and the Templars… what do you think about this ? I also can’t wait to learn what happened to Lucy after the cliffhanger end of Brotherhood.

It’s widely believed that Subject 16 isn’t actually dead. In Brotherhood when you get the email from an unknown source giving you Lucy, Rebecca, and Shaun’s password, there’s several hints that point to Subject 16 as the sender. Can’t remember the details, google it if you’re interested.

I doubt that’s 16. The sender’s name is Erudito, and all the message says is “Be sure to stay in the loop”. It could be just another Assassin, who we’ll probably get to see in Revelations or ACIII
Even though, the achievement for completing all 10 rifts in Brotherhood is called I AM ALIVE (in morse code)
Moreover, when you complete the 10 rifts, Desmond will be able to talk to him for a bit, and it was implied there that he’s not really dead, if I remember correctly.

You guys are asking for modern assassins remember wat ur asking for. Thise franchise has been based on melee combat. Now adding guns can make or break the game. How we use guns in the game can determine if it will be good or not. Personally i do not want anything more modern then the French revolution. If you want to be a modern assassin so badly go play Metal Gear Solid.

If they do add guns, then it will probably be in the same style as in the Uncharted series. Now here’s a new topic, who is better Altaïr or Ezio? Personally, I believe that Ezio is way better when it comes to weapons and stamina because obviously he has better weapons than Altaïr and he can sprint on beams! But when it comes down to blood and gore, it’s Altaïr for the win!

Yeah, most people do play for the story anyway.
EDIT: I seriously can’t wait to see where this story will take us and how Assassin’s creed 3 will turn out, I’m also quite surprised Ezio has managed to stay alive for so long, he’s about 50/60, which was very old back then.
