Mind if I toss that on the wiki page lol. As for how hard it is… most are just too lazy to read more than the last 3-4 posts.

Heh, don’t see why you had to ask, all I did was notice that there is small temporary glitch with displaying proper dmg (fun fact: it also applies to hp on Galaxy, but not on Titan Barrier). I’m all about helping community. ;)
Regarding upgrade costs on wiki: vast majority of upgrades will be done with 25% reduction anyway, so IMO it’s not very beneficial to list full costs. If you don’t mind nitpicking, I think it’s best to take turret images from selection bar on right (for standard ones) or bank (for rares). Not only they’re slightly bigger, but there’s no level indicator (on selection bar).

To all who care – The wiki page is now up to 35 pages and has all regular and known rare weapons on it. Premium weapons not included. The costs are not included for the most part, but the upgrades function, maximum levels, and power are up. I got pictures for all rares on there, and several of the non-rares. I’m off for now, so hope you all enjoy it(or at least find it useful).

Why do my units keep dying? I tried farming Enogon on hard, with maxed out defensive barriers (level 7 and fully upgraded). I lost 2 barriers after about a minute (even though i was healing them with the healing skill and have 6 vira saviors). After that it was another 5 seconds before even more barriers and my korazons started dying (some even died before the barriers were down). Am i missing something?

Heard of Negative Effects? You probably have Nyon Exists, or you at least have Korazons. Your Korazon gets confused and fires a 1000+ damage barrage at your nearby turrets. I wonder why they blew up. Have 3 Neg Voiders or something. 5 is overkill. Look at my base, The Rectangle No. 1. It’s boss + employs my techniques.

The general idea is that it does, but if you have that much cash, you probably already have rares. Besides, the drop rates themselves are very, very derpy. (Sorry for double post).

my base is saying that i have survived 345 levels and i have yet to see one aries drop. I have the gold but crap luck in this game. I’ve even built my base so i can see my entire killzone making it easier to see if one drops but still no aries or vira ultima. I’ve only gotten one darkness barrier and I’m nearing 38 million points now.

Ok, I’m getting near the 5M point mark and ive beaten all the levels up to the end (that level is friken hard) and Ive yet to find any rare over a tesla (ive only found 3 of those). I have 2 tech centers with the 5% increase chance upgrade…. what am I doing wrong? Ive been farming the levels 11-13 a ton and nothing drops.

I purchased the bonus content around a week ago, however for some reason it is now disabled. Anyone else experiencing this?

Creatureisland if you are talking about the units go to bonus content and click on the image on bonus units and click on the unit and the maps also click on their image and click enter

Villalobos can be defeated at insane difficulty. I defeated only Villalobos at this level, not the entire Zone One, using this base (two units lost):

Nope I meant that it all was disabled. However it has since resolved itself.

The purpose of 5 is so that you can get 100% resistance (each gives 23% when fully upgraded)

Some thoughts…
I’ve been farming on Tesire, hard or insane. Maxed the number of relatively easy-to-find rares, to increase chances for super-rares… none found yet (and no third Aries either).
Got a few rank X units in the process – strangely enough, I got two of these upgrades on the exact same round. These upgraded a Neg Voider, my Command Center, and a Nyon Exist…
And here’s the weird thing: this Nyon Exist gained much more hit points, but the damage stats stayed exactly the same as for a rank VII Nyon. Saving and reloading didn’t help anything (in fact, just after the upgrade, the fire rate went to 4.0s instead of 4.4s… saving and reloading pushed it back to 4.4s, same as my other fully upgraded rank VII Nyons).
So it seems that rank X gives higher hitpoints, but won’t change the damage stats (on purpose? or because of some coding bug/glitch?)… too bad for those who were dreaming of a rank X Aries or Lightbringer.
Unless it’s a Nyon-specific bug? the Neg Voider did keep a 10% improvement to its rate, and the Vira Savior which got rank X during another of my runs also got a rate improvement of the same order – I wonder if the Nyon’s accuracy upgrade is the thing that disturbs the fire rate improvement of rank X.
Anyway I’d have preferred a firepower increase computed with the same formula as the one used between rank I-rank VII, thus giving a 37.5% higher firepower to my Nyon. :D
.
Another funny thing: I did delete my third Tesla, and filled the slots so rares would stay on the field (that’s the previously posted glitch to go beyond the rare’s cap). At the end of a Tesire/insane run, I got… 3 Teslas, in a matter of seconds, maybe 5 to 10s at most (after freeing my banks, I now have a base with 5 Teslas). Had many runs without a single Tesla dropping (or anything else), and a few runs with a single Tesla only… had hoped that, after many tries, 2 Teslas would drop… never expected a third one.
Not sure what happened, but since Teslas are still rarer than Wall/Gold/Sanctum/Fortress/Arcane, the chance of seeing 3 of them in a single row are frankly low – so either I was lucky as hell, or the way the game selects which rare is dropped isn’t as random as I first thought (at least, isn’t independantly recalculated for each drop).
I now have the feeling the game picks chooses its rare/ultrare according to some timer or time interval (a random roll every x seconds? a computation based on the game’s clock or the computer’s clock?), with another random roll being used to determine what the units drop.
If you’re lucky enough, you’ll have multiple rare items drop during a very short intervall, and they’d be of the same type. So if you combined that with the trick to go over the rare’s cap (rares on the field are outside the cap), you might end up with even more than 3 Lightbringer or Aries (if you’re VERY lucky).
Splodersplee, it looks like the same thing might have happened to your Legends, that’s in fact why I came to this thought… It’d need some confirmation, though…

Is there a maximum number of rares you can can have? I’ve been spending a lot of time looking for a 4th Infinite Fortress, and was wondering if I had maxed that out at 3.

People keep saying the Nova/Galaxy Turret is still bugged – it sometimes LOOKS bugged in your base editor, but then fixes itself after you fight a mission. It’s just a display error.

And one more thing, someone said that if you put your command center at the bottom of your base, no enemies will spawn down there, is that true?
Tried this and it didn’t work. Wasted time re-stacking my base. :P

Nope… I’ve had 5+ Infinite Fortresses at one time. Rares Do not seem to have a limit… but can be a pain to aquire te one you want. As for all the people complaining about rares not coming out… I have no issue with them dropping and I don’t even have the Zava Detector.

Maximum is 3. There is, however, a little glitch that CaiusJuliusC posted here

I believe drop rates may have increased. After days of farming for these aries I got them back to back in under 30 minutes at Tesire Insane. Could be luck idk.

People really need to reread the thread, specifically pages 1-10. Most mechanics are explained there.
There are rare limits. They can be bypassed by the On Field method (fill up item bank, max unit limit, rares stay on the field when you click them so you can have multiple on the field)
I have 7 Teslas, 4 Lightbringers (one Rank X), 4 Aries, 4 Vira Ultimas, 3 Thors. You shouldn’t shoot for higher than these with the On Field method, as any higher would take forever.
PS – Teslas rule.
PSS – It’s extremely hard to compare damage per rounds survived, because each round only has so many HP available via total enemies. If one turret does well, the others do less well. Generally, shoot for beam type or homing type turrets, as they maximize their potential damage by never missing. Teslas, Lightbringers, Aries, Devas Neros, Zycon Storms fall under these categories. Zycon Storms are reflected by shields, and are thus worse than worthless.

With premium only increases odds on ultra rares. Otherwise extreme luck be with you.
