Black ops had a ton of weapons, perks, and killstreaks. But now, in Mw3… things have changed
Lets see. There are only 4 guns. The ACR, the MP7, the MSR, and the Striker. Thats not very many guns.
There are only 3 perks in the whole game! Extreme conditioning, assassin, and dead silence!! Bummer!!
There are only 2 killstreaks. Theres the no skill multi kill stealth bomber, predator missile.
Only two proficiencies??!?!!? Kick and Damage. Cool story bro.
Fuck modern warfare 2: 2.

I got a pretty good laugh out of this, it’s all true.
Black Ops had only one gun though, the AK74u

Stop buying them, you will do yourself a favour. If you are in to FPS there are way better out there.

If by naked you mean bare yeah you’d be right, first person shooters of late have been dominated by the “Rambo” style of play, but that’s another conversation that has probably been brought up a lot.
Variety in the Call of Duty stone is a deep as the story line, none-existent. I don’t even think they’ve changed the gameplay, they’re still using the same engine as far as I’m aware (might be wrong, tell me if I am) so essentially all they do every year is slap in some new guns and a few new maps. It’s more like Call of Duty 4.5 frankly, yes the single player is different each year but is it really? The story is about as thick as a sheet of paper and all you do is run, shoot at different people in a different landscape. It’s boring and lacks purpose, the Call of Duty games are becoming “Money-Whore” schemes, milking the customer for as much as they possibly can before the company takes a flop and vanish.

^This guy knows nothing :D
The Call of Duty series has deteriorated. They just change up the graphics, add a few new things, take out others, stick a new name on it, and sell it for an extensive amount and make tons of money out of it because people think “Maybe this one will be different”. No they just rearrange the game, then come out with DLCs. And for an achievement hunter like myself, they try to drag you into spending the money with a couple achievements. They also come out with a new one EVERY year, they rush it, and it comes out like garbage. Yet still sell millions of copies world wide. Like whipper said, if you’re into FPS gaming, there are a lot better games then Call of Duty.

Well the dawgs who just finished MW3 say they’re working on something really good and new, if we’re lucky if won’t be a new CoD, but it’ll probably still be a generic shooter. But it’s about time the CoD series came to a close.

I find that the only entertaining component of any call of duty game is the zombies mode, which isn’t even in any of the modern warfare games, hence why I have none of them.

Seriously, the CoD series are just annoying, they come every year and they just change a few things. I think that even the CoD fanboys will get exhausted by the time.. or not. I guess that I would totally be expecting more thing from Battlefield or maybe even Halo but not CoD I totally lost my hope.
Zombie Mode, I think that’s the only thing that can keep me from playing CoD Black Ops because the rest of the game was just awful. When MW3 came out, I was excited but at the same time I knew it was going to be kinda the same. I guess it was the story mode that kept that excitement alive. I’m not buying Black Ops 2, I guess Halo 4 it is.

Instead of blowing one-hundred and ten fucking dollars on another iteration of a shitty FPS series that has changed nothing in nine years, you’ll blow one-hundred and ten fucking dollars on another iteration of a different shitty FPS series that has changed nothing in eleven years.

Here’s an idea: test a FPS what you have never tried before. Such as, if you have played CoD and disappointed, try Medal of Honor, Battlefield or something like that.

The FPS genre is the most stagnant of them all and is built off of incestuous idea-theft and a crippling fear of any sort of innovation. If you want to play a good FPS, play one from before the 2000’s when they all started trying to be Halo or COD. If you want to play a good modern FPS, then you can go and play any old shit they shovel out these days while pretending you’re having fun.

Honestly, i not no noob at MW3, but to make fun of any game, you should get into sync with it, after you do, you love it. But seriously, there where about 30 guns is MW3, 9 perks in mw3 and about 16/18 killstreaks. yes i know what i talking about

ive been playing HALO for 4 years now and ever since i started, it blew up my mind with imagination, like Grunts getting slashed and that, but let me get to the point, i think halo was a great thing to start out in, and was a Pretty badass Futuristic FPS

In my opinion, if you like variety in guns and realistic ballistics in your fps, Battlefield 3 really integrated that nicely. To top it off, they have vehicles that aren’t over-powered and the cover is breakable so you can’t camp for too long. There are still a lot of bitch moves in the game, but none that you can’t take care of. The only drawback is that there’s no hardcore and people have ridiculous amounts of health, like in halo. Except halo is in the future and you have an overshield, while all you have in Battlefield 3 is a Kevlar vest and a helmet.

It honestly might not be that bad if they took they’re time making it like BF. They should use the Same engine BF does but still give it that COD twist that they haven’t truly delivered since The original MW

To respond to your accusations in no particular order: Australia, I have reasonable ties to the local game development scene and experience in the field of lit-crit and I mostly hate modern shooters because they haven’t innovated in 11 fucking years.
You lose, bjdude.

Most FPS shooters are crap… Battlefield 3 was good, but I still prefer to play Battlefield 1942, or Battlefield Vietnam. In CoD, the only game I liked in that series was WaW, (they need to remake both WaW, and 1942, the best games from both series )
HALO, i didn’t like Reach that much.. but Halo 3 was fun.
FPS games just arn’t good anymore…. Black Ops 2 looks horrible, and my guess is Battlefield 4 will just be a slightly upgraded BF3. I’ll still but new battlfield games, but im not very excited for it…. for god sakes, im more excited for Sim City 5! (now those games show improvement!)

They should try making more FPSs which are open-ended, story driven and don’t focus on multiplayer… like my favorite FPS series STALKER. It has great atmosphere and quite a good story, now Shadow of Chernobyl is actually linear if you think about it, but Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat actually do give you a lot of freedom (you can actually choose to join the Loners, Bandits, Freedom or Duty, or just stay neutral), it’s the only game which actually made me creeped out at certain points, and by certain points I mean the X labs. The game is quite challenging too, but sometimes it can get a bit silly like when you have to unload a full AN-94 clip point blank in a SPETSNAZ trooper’s face to kill him.

Still better than CoD, and if I’m not mistaken the games cost $60 not $110…
