The overall best RPG Flash series?

Which of these RPG series wins in your book?

-Sonny, the acclaimed zombie adventure?
-Mardek, the wonderfully done SNES tribute?
-Max Mesiria, the easy, yet brutal RPG?
-Hands of War, the bare-bones, reliable RPG?
-Monster’s Den, the never-ending trip to the depths of hell?
-Feudalism, the continent spanning crusade?
-Caravaneer, the post-global warming survival RPG?

Personally, I’d give my number 1 to Sonny. Most of these RPGs have great stories and enticing reasons to keep playing, but Sonny has that awesome sense of magnitude. Loads of items, many ways to develop skill trees, and some of the best RPG music I’ve heard. My number 2 is Mardek, which has an even better story than Sonny. My only gripe is the slow pace it exhibits at times. Below is my ranking.

My ranking is fairly similar, except bump Sonny down to number three.

I tied max and caravaneer because i have never played them, Mardek lost because its the most boring rpg I have ever played.

First of all, Fedualism should be first. Its one of the most innovative games, and its also pretty fun, and you don’t have to constantly be worried about your own statistics, you can have your own army, which is big step up. Monster’s Den is boring as hell, and so is Mardek: RPG. Caravenner is also pretty confusing.

You guys missed Talesworth Death Arena. That’s one of the best RPG games.

I guess there are a bunch of people here confusing “RPG” with “game where you have stats that go up”.

Well Role Playing Game pretty much defines getting to play as one person. I’m not quite sure though. Feudalism is sort of an RPG, but aren’t games where “stats go up” considered RPGs too? Explain Jabor.

Sounds more like an RTS to me. Not that I know what I am talking about. What exactly defines something as an RPG?

I think the big problem with Mardek 2 is that it aimed for avid RPG’ers and is unwelcoming and difficult for everybody else.

Also, once Beast Signer is finished, it will pwn this list, it’s still barely in development :P

Haven’t played Hands of War.

Mardek is the best for me because I love snes RPGs, so my ranking may be biased. Monsters’ den is good, but I think it was the badges that have put it down there, I ended up getting sick of it, but it’s pretty good. Caravaneer is pretty good, a pretty big world, a sort of decent story. Max Mesiria’s gameplay doesnt feel right to me. Feudalism’s simplicity (I don’t really know if that’s a word :P) puts it at the bottom of the list. Finally, I don’t know what the big deal is about sonny, it’s just another RPG, oh, but wait, they TALK, woooow (?). I don’t know what else is different from every other RPG, except that you can’t walk anywhere, or talk to anyone, it’s basically a fighting strategy game, not the kind of RPG I like, I’m more into the FF type (the level up tree isn’t that amazing either, it’s good, but it’s just a level up tree…).

2: Monster’s Den – It’s a good game.
3: Feudalism – The idea behind this game is awesome, but the game is boring
4: Sonny – I don’t know what people see in that game…
5: Hands of War – That game SUCKS
