What does this mean for me? You will always be able to play your favorite games on Kongregate. However, certain site features may suddenly stop working and leave you with a severely degraded experience.
What should I do? We strongly urge all our users to upgrade to modern browsers for a better experience and improved security.
We suggest you install the latest version of one of these browsers:
Kongregate is a community-driven browser games portal with an open platform for all web games.

Do you guys know any other sites that are like kongregate in that they have high-quality flash games? It doesn’t have to have achievements.
Oh, and if this is in the wrong section, would you please tell me?
Newgrounds is the biggest.
Armour is tied with us on number of exclusives but they get the better ones.
That Nouboa (sp?) has a ton of multiplayer games and lots of achievements. But the overall quality is quite poor.
Interesting, I’ve signed up with Nonoba previously (though the site is wholely unfamiliar) and does feature a bunch of neat APIs. Yes, the achievements are developer created, but really they’re basically the same as the dev including them in the game itself and creating “high score” listings on Kongregate (heck, my last game submitted most of the ingame achievements separately, some I didn’t feel were worth Kong recording (i.e. reading the instructions) but I did report a good number of them.
It looks like they also have “save game” API stuff, you can submit just about anything and get it back later:
public static function SetUserData(key:String, value:String, callback:Function):Void
Store a string value on the server.
For each user and game you can store several different key/value pairs on the server.
If you call this method with a key that already exists, the existing value will be overwritten.
See also: GetUserData
They also have a mini-purchase API (i.e. the user can buy ingame items with money) which is almost 1 step ahead of the current Kongregate Kreds system (admittedly I don’t know that that is where the Kreds system is going), although the Dev does only get 70% (which is a lot, considering the number of the micro-payment-thigns seen on XBox live).
Kongregate will still be my home, but I’ll certainly consider uploading things there as well—at least the games I make that aren’t going to be Kong exclusives.
If you’re looking for a site with a similar achievements system, [Nonoba](http://www.nonoba.com) is okay.
The other top sites that you can find a variety of decent flash games on are [Newgrounds](http://www.newgrounds.com), [AddictingGames](http://www.addictinggames.com), and [Armor Games](http://www.armorgames.com). You’ll find a lot of games on Armor Games that you’ve already played on Kongregate because their [Head of Game Development](http://www.kongregate.com/accounts/jmtb02) uploads games on here frequently. (They also have [their own account](http://www.kongregate.com/accounts/armorgames))
Nonoba has lesser quality badges and smaller community/userbase but is similar.
Newgrounds has a chat room (whooo no chat) and porn
Armorgames is apparently adding something similar to badges soon, but it is best at making games IMO rather than a super site like us

Guaranteed, the only reason most of their members go on.

NG is for beginner flash makers. Kongregate is for intermediate game makers and skilled ones.

There are about 10 bad games on this site for every good one.
Its best to NOT look for a website like kongregate because thats nearly impossible to find such a website… Kongregate is probably the best flash gaming website for communication, find new developers, friends, multiplayer, and beginner development… So dont even dare lol. Cheers :)
