This game =/= TF2
TF2 is a class based first person shooter.
SMNC is a Third Person Shooter DotA-like.
There are so many differences just brought about by those two alone (lethality levels, business model, map design, gameplay mechanics, strategies, teamwork levels), and seeing it as a TF2 rip purely because it’s a colourful game with guns is pretty short-sighted.

Judging by your spelling and punctuation, you might be better off with TF2 after all. And ROFL @ “SMNC being a TF2 ripoff” when the only similarities they have is class-based combat.

Ooh, if it’s like TF2, I might just play it.

This is not the original MNC, it’s the second part SuperMNC.
It is nothing similar to TF2, nothing.
On TF2 your team isn’t important at all, here means everything.
SuperMNC is a MOBA game, a subgenre of Real Time Strategy. It’s focused on destroying the enemy base (=moneyball)

This is an incredible game. But be warned! the first games if you try to play it as a normal shooter you’ll get slaughtered. You must first learn the basics, otherwise it could be impossible.
It’s normal, once you get the mechanics you’l love it.
Some tips:
-DON’T PLAY TURBOCROSS MODE!!. It’s an advanced mode. Start with a practice game, then a Blitz game and then supercross. Only when you have agent level 50 or so you can test turbocross. I don’t like turbocross mode, but it’s up to you.
-Stay away of enemy turrets. Turrets can destroy you in a few seconds, avoid them, shoot them from range when their shields are down.
-Destroy enemy bots, forget enemy PRO’s. The key of the game is to escort friendly bots to the enemy moneyball, not killing enemy players. Don’t be tempted to chase down PRO’s
-Don’t die, stay leveled. If you are dying a lot, retreat, stay near friendly turrets and keep killing enemy bots. This way you eventually get in level. Underleveled players are an easy prey. A lvl 13 PRO can crush a lvl 10 PRO without sweating.

SMNC is not MNC 2. You cannot come from MNC and think you know how to play. It’s a different game.

It’s about as valid as saying Awesomenauts is a DotA ripoff. Which is to say, completely invalid.

Played this on Steam, it’s an “OK” game for me.

You actually CANNOT own this on xbox 360. It is (or was until just recently) Steam only. It is a shooter version of DoTA. HUGE emphasis on leveling your character over out gunning the other team. Working as a team will give you HUGE benefits over a team of lonewolves.

It is a quirky, hilarious FREE team-oriented skill-based shooter. What’s not to like?

the game isn’t bad… its just not your style(not much of my taste either… i’m not a big fan of dota)… many a times i found myself aiming better than the 3 guys shooting me, sometimes even killing 1 or 2 of them but in the end of it all, this is a TPS game with RPG elements. or rather this is a RPG with TPS elements… there are no overpowered weapons in this game- each weapon has its own method of working and obviously if you plan to use a melee fighting focused character like captain spark against someone like the tank and just charge forward you’ll wind up dead soon. know your enemies, be aware of your weaknesses, win the game.

I found myself taking a liking to the game’s comedy side and even liking the way some fights go. however losing a match because it was a 3v5 even though the 5 werent so good individully(but hey heal gun doesnt really seem to a reload so 2 healers backing up 3 shooters is more than just a hurdle to handle in a 3v5)… heck, if this way a normal fighting game(fps/tps 101: shoot their head clean off, throw a grenade and clear the room, scare the crowd by charging at them when you manage to score some kills on your own) it could have been easily turned around… I’ll stick to the game and see if i can get a second opinion on it though… been a while since i last found myself wanting to play a DotA-style game(damm you LoL :<)
