I would argue that Platforms are far from dead the leaps and bounds that consoles have taken in their history and the various iterations of consoles, large and handheld you can find is proof of that

Consoles are better than PC in some ways

1. On a console, you actually own all of your games. On the PC, you only buy digital copies of most games. This means that steam/ea/microsoft can take away all of your games :<
2. On consoles, you can buy used games. I know that PC games go down in price over time, but used console games go down faster.
3. Consoles allow you to play with IRL friends. PC gamers dont understand this because they have no IRL friends.
