Mardek

I have beat Mardek Chapter 2 but I dont have all the chests does anyone know where all of them are? Is there any walkthrough for this game yet?

Zombies drop trilobite key II, I know the whole hidden chest thing but I am still missing like 9 chests. Mardek is my favorite game on this site too. {-_-}

There’s an incomplete but pretty good walkthrough on the forums at www.fighunter.com. There are also a few topics mentioning the locations of all the Trilobyte Keys (as well as some neat things like rare item drops).

Mardek is hands down the best flash game I have played to date.
Not only does it have amazingly fun gameplay, a gripping storyline, and looks just like oldschool 8 bit games, but it has hour and hours of gameplay to it, which no other flash game can come close to offering that I have seen.

Key locations:
1: Tainted Grotto level 2. press X facing every lake BEFORE the world’s saviours
2: Zombies in Canonia
3: Social Fox’s tomb. It’s past where you fought Moric.
4: Gope in the inn.(DO NOT KILL HIM IN THE GEM MINES OR YOU CAN’T GET THIS ONE)

TARDIS thanks a lot, I was looking for the third key like 3 hours everywhere.

I got into the Cave, and you get the most powerful weapons and equipment in their. Makes the final area very very easy.

Love Mardek, great flash games. Would be even more awesome if Pseudolonewolf implemented Kongregate API so badges could be added, these games certainly deserve more attention.

To get 100% treasure I just checked the map very often, hidden treasure shows up on it. And of course you need to get to Cambria which requires not killing Gope when you are given a choice.

oh pliz help. i got stuck in catatombs, and i cannot find a way to “unlock” the other part of the map, so pliz HELP!!!!!!!

People people, i have your solution. in a matter of fact, the creator made a walkthrough for the hell of it.

There are two things (at least) that I haven’t figured out.
1) What is so useful about the GeoJacket and who is it useful on?

and
2) What is the use of the BoneSlicer and who can use it? (no one in my party, with Vehrn, can, I was wondering if the Mercenary can use it)

Yeah, it’s the merc’s weapon… you just need to pay him to get into you party (as stated)

Does anyone know if there’s another way to get that trilobyte key from Gope?? I didn’t go to the Inn after the Mines and I don’t even remember having a choice not to kill someone. But I don’t want to play through the whole game again just to find the 4 keys…

It gives you 150% Earth resist, IIRC. This means that whoever is wearing it will be essentially invincible in the last level, which is mainly composed of Earth creatures using elemental attacks,

Okay I’ve got all the trilobyte keys but where is the trilobyte cave?

The trilobyte cave is in the rightmost area of Eastern Glens. From the right exit to world map, go almost directly south.

On the topic of 100% chests, I found my last chests in the unexplored areas of Gem Mine, down the other paths that the other pairs went down. It got me from 119ish to 130.

is there a walkthrough for the areana

I have to admit, this game is great, especially for being a flash game. So, does anybody know if I can get Zach again once I’ve defeated Moric? I’m not happy with Vehrn, since he’s far too slow, and because Zach allows me to flee from all of the random (or wandering) encounters. Should I have ignored Vehrn when going into the Tainted Grotto? I have a feeling that might have helped, but I’ll have to start all over again if this is the case.

Anyway, I’ve rambled enough!

Quick question: what folder do saved games go into on the hard drive? I’m sure I read something about this in the description/instructions a while back. I’ve been playing this on another computer while mine’s been fixed, and if possible I’d prefer to just be able to transfer it back to mine, as you’d imagine.

you can switch zach and verhn by clicking party and then switch. You should’t flee from every battle though. you’ll be underleveld later.

Has anyone been able to go to the western(well the one on the left) part of the Lake Qur? Emela always stops you before going there and hurries for the quests. Without her you cannot go underwater… I kinda thought the arena’s end would be there but that wasn’t the case.(nice imagination hucky xD )
