in trial challenge 5, there is a goblin in front of enemy castle, whose power is like 999999 group damage and likely immune to all attacks..
if i hit tat goblin, he starts to move and destroy everything within 30 seconds and gameover… ;((
need serious help plsss!!!!

I’m having the same problem. i think the trick is to use titans. I’m not sure though. Also, the hero could have something to do with it. I’m still testing stuff out. Tell me when you come up with

I have won the 5 caves of trial. My strat on last, was to use masive spawn units and ranged, who keep ghost goblin busy and stunned. Also, use all the skills that do damage for clean spawning enemy’s, and hercule’s strenght for maxing damage. Any tip to unlock top right skill card?

Well, you can unlock all cards by doing trials and then each character unlocks certain cards. Try the dwarf. i think he gets the top right. Also, can you elaborate more on your strategy? did you use any really powerful guys? I almost won just spamming huge masses
Edit: I found a spell called invincibility in Abe’s campaign. Might help get your strogest guys past the goblin while your minions piss him off

Nothing’s really working… I’ve tried a whole bunch of things. Not enough minions are in the back, they all come in huge groups. goblin just runs by. not doing enough dmg even with double dmg. Even tried the invincible spell. no luck. Comon! Someone help!

heres a tip get 2 titans and use your other 4 spots for the ones that have 20+ people use the minions to distract them while the 2 titans do quick work of the castle.. try that..

Doesn’t work. The titans are too slow. They don’t reach the castle quick enough, considering how long their range is and when you have to pop invincibility. Here’s hoping Tass just comes up with something and shows us.

skill: athenaprotection, comet
hints: dont send forward first, wait for enemywave is lower, and ur units is have max cap at batle
and…send them all. should be works.

yes..i also saw tat mermaids r realli working, pushing tat shadow goblin and i almost got it..
will try later again.. thanks for all the tips, guys.. ^^

finally did it, send many range woman, those can stun goblin.

I completed on first try with my standard attack force. Requires several playthroughs to attain the prerequisite cards but should succeed 100% of the time.
Troops:
Black Knight
Dragon Rider
Frost Giant
Fire Succubus
Witch
Mermaid
Spells
Lightning Bolt (For the Stun)
Hercules’ Strength
Athena Protection (Use in conjunction with Hercules strength when Goblin is approaching for the last burst of damage)
Healing Wave (To keep your front line’s health up during the trash minions)
Comet Shoot (optional, if you have the remaining mana a.k.a. are on play-through 5 or higher then take this skill to help deal with bombs before they hit your troops decreasing your dps on the castle)
All these spells should be at lvl 5, 4 could work but I have not tested it. Just though I would pass my strat along. Best of luck.

i find that if you use the archer witch succubus mermaid cannon and frost giant you can beat everything you might want to use the heal +2x damage + invulnerable spells (the centaur can be replaced with the black night for better results)

just got this one.
I was:
Level 30 (max)
I had:
Goblins – Level 5 (max)
Dwarves – Level 5
Enchanted Armor – Level 5
-
Mermaids – Level 5
Witches – Level 5
Centaurs – Level 5
Cards were:
Lightning Bolt (as above, for stun) – Level 5 (max)
Hercule’s Strength – Level 4
Athena’s Protection (Used them both in Conjunction) – Level 4
Phoenix – Level 5
Comet Shot – Level 5
Healing – Level 5
This completed this mission after completing most of all 6 people’s missions and I did complete all 4 of the other Trials.
What I did:
1) Built up troops and kept them all right in front of my castle.
2) Used Comet shot to make the enemy hero charge me (without making blinking goblin charge) and to destroy all those bombers in the middle of the screen.
3) I also used heal to keep my guys alive so I would have more for the attack.
4) When Athena’s and Hercules’s were available to use, I sent the phoenix wave and then set all my guys to charge for the castle right behind it. Then I used heal, then just as the first thing (between my guys and the phoenix) came on the screen, I used Athena’s and then Hercules’s card. This made them invincible to the goblin, but— more importantly— puts them right in front of the castle.
5) When they reached the goblin, I used the lightening spell to buy me some extra time.
6) I also hit the goblin with the comet any time I could see him, afterward, I hit the bombers.
7) Goblin started to do his thing, and goes “invisible” (off the radar). But my archers pushed him back to the front, after that, I totally lost track of him, I don’t know if he died or was slowly marching to my castle, as I was:
8 ) Sending wave after wave of my guys to the castle as soon as they spawned and hitting the guys spawning from the enemy castle with comet before they could blow up.
9) Win
Judging from how me and exmayo643 beat this thing, it seems to rely more on using your “spell” cards wisely and making sure you can bring down the gates than anything else.

ok rudy sudarto’s idea works brilliantly and also notjack is right to it relys on more of the right timeing and perfection of using the spell then just the spell card itself!!! wow ho after 3 hrs of reading and hard work i finally got the drum roll “berserker card” dramatic ending

Anyone know how to get the skill card on the bottom right? I’ve beaten the game with all 6 characters & beaten the first 4 caves of trial, but still haven’t gotten it. Do you get it after defeating the 5th cave?

Just make sure all your units have a knock back effect and longer range than the goblin of everlasting cheese. You can perma stun him if you make sure to invuln on your way in do all your stunners can stack up.

Yeah, it does make most (if not all) the battles faster, especially if you can also use berserk :-P
The other posters are right, however, the stun from either the archer or witch, I really can’t tell sometimes, and mermaid’s freeze helps out, but I’d rather have the knock-back from the succubus’s attack (or the cannon, but that one is REAL slow)
Reason I didn’t use them was because I wasn’t sure if they’d affect the invincible goblin.

hey is the mega goblin in CoT5 an obtainable card? and when i played dwarves, the guy in the top right corner map (my last fight) had a mega dragon dude, is that also a card?

The Dragon dude is a card, which you get after beating…cave 1 I think. The super goblin is not one. Also here is how I won the last cave challenge.
Taurus lvl 5
dwarf lvl 5
centaur lvl 5
mermaid lvl 5
Black Night lvl 5
Frost Giant lvl 5
Spells:
Healing lvl 5 (heal troops)
Athena lvl 4 (protect from gobline)
Comet lvl 5 (optional, helpful card)
Hurculese lvl 5 (enables to kill castle quicker)
Freeze lvl 5 (freezes goblin/enemy and strong/quick)
Lightning lvl 5 (stuns goblin/enemy and strong/quick)
The reason for the cards I picked is they (when max num spawned) did some of the most damage. Also, their health was relatively high, and most also moves back enemies, i.e. the goblin.
so you use the comet, healing, and other careds to keep near your castle until you have most spawned (taurus’ take longest) Then, before you go, you use your comet to bring their champion to you, while not hitting the goblin, then blow up bombs.
When you are really close to the gates, use freeze card one Goblin (while there is still ice forming) use athena card, then use stun card on goblin. Also now would be good time to use healing, and once most of your army is there (which should be after using those cards) use hurculese to up strength.
Keep sending in creatures, using comet, healing. freeze. lightning (freeze and lightning you might not get another chance to use as the castle dies quick) and win.
