Okay I’m looking for a good single player game on the computer.
Not a port of a console game, Not Hoyle board games suggestion but a high end well done PC game without multi player.
Thanks

Crysis?

Hilarious. What a vague question – are you looking for something with high end requirements, or something that is more laptop or older desktop quality but has a nice polish? I mean, if you’re on an old computer, Starcraft is a great choice. Otherwise, Crysis wins hands-down.

WarCraft 3, good RTS. Awesome online, and looks a lot cleaner than StarCraft(to me).

Age of empires III, good RTS.

@Hellion_smith uhh can it be multi player, and single player? If so I recommend war craft 3 and preety much anything from the rts genre, diablo diablo 2 are fun to play through single player…once…but it’s the online play people like most…there aren’t very many pc games out there anymore that aren’t mmo’s ,that are high end anymore (they are all going to consoles).

Well, while everyone is making suggestions… Is there any good RPGs for handheld systems, or older console systems? I’m kinda fizzled with Final Fantasy for the moment…

Zelda: Phantom Hourglass?

I’m trying to stay away from Pokemon… even though it has depth, it’s too “kiddy.” If it were more serious/violent… then maybe.

As for Zelda, I’m looking more for Turn based ones, but I will give it a try…

Pokemon is fun no matter what age you are, I don’t think it needs to be more violent per se, but A more in depth non-recycled story line would be nice.

What I meant about violent is this…

In most RPGs, when you beat something, It’s normally dead… No more enemy!

In Pokemon, When you beat something… it’s knocked out, and can still use special effects (HM’s and such) It’s just too forgiving

Also, team fighting in Pokemon is almost zilch… In most RPGs, I have a group who everyone in that group can use their unique abilities in tandem with their partners AT THE SAME TIME! (in other words… Action Time System would be preferred)

Controlling one thing (person/Pokemon) in a fight is a little slow, even if the level grind with some pokemon is considerably less than others…
