1 hunter and 3 guys with big gun/gravity gun works best and invest in chickens.

Around level 40, start investing in that thing the increase your attack %.

still with mk-15 combat shotty get 112*9
only started it for the lvl 10 sheriff medal… but I liked it. :)

Did anyone ever find out what the E below the L means? When I look at a character it says L 8 E 48 for example. While L stands for the level, I never really found out what the E means. Anyone noticed?

does cool or reloading affect gravity guy at all? It seems to take the same amount of time to load that weapon.

Kind of an aside, is there any way to stretch the game screen out, its painfully small as it is and the only way I can play the game is if I dump to 800×600 resolution.

updating the autocrossbow is useless and expensive. It’s better to just invest in chickens/Villa

Taunt is a class still, IIRC at minimum Noble and Sheriff have it.

The essential setup is:

  1. - Have auto-crossbow with penetration skill (that means Hunter or Noble), this weapon setup with the amount of DPS and multi-hitting possible is hands down the best in game.
  2. - Have villa brought up to around lvl 10 (100% damage increase) and party every day, very important.

After this, upgrade you weapons by increments of 5+ levels, it’s all no-brainer afterwards.

what do you mean by “villa”? thanks man for the help though

I just found my first Weapon with 6 Slots on day 36. The best I found earlier was 4 Slots on a Sniper Pistol and 3 Sloted Machine Guns. The found weapin now is exactly in my Weaponskillrange, I already had 5 Mods found earlier: Leech, Accuracy, Firerate, Ammo, Impact(all lvl3), which I could put into the weapon.
The Weapon is MK-6, one upgrade and I couldnt have used it for quiet a while.
But its a goddamned Pistol!
Now I dont know if I should try it out, but I dont want to ruin my savegame with the good saved up mods…

Its my first Try on this game in normal mode, I got a Rouge, little Sister, a Noble and a Militia(I wanted a Sniper as fourth, but didnt get any in the barracks.
A good reccomendation would be nice, because I dont really know if a Pistol can be of any use at all for my Setup.
Im using Laser Pistol with Machine Gun secondary, my little Sister and Noble are using machine guns. Militia is using a grenade launcher, because he still lacks the skill for a Gravity Launcher(didnt find any with more than 1 slot so far anyway).

I would be thankfull for any hints/recommendations.

My big question is that is it worth keeping the starter companion “little girl” or should you move on and get a better class? Her wage is cheaper, but is she worth it?

If you play Casual Mode, you’ll be fine with her. If you’re on normal or hardcore, I suggest you should change her.

BTW, since last update and this whole rebalance I feel lost. :/ Hunter seems so weak now… What tactic would you guys suggest to experiment with for Hardcore medals?..

Well, Gravity Guns are still overpowered but getting off to a good start is probably the toughest part. Obviously you’ll want most of the medals first, from an initial Casual run. If you can recruit a couple of good party members early and you’re lucky enough to get get decent weapons (or MODs), then it’s smooth sailing. Don’t be afraid to hire henchmen constantly either. :P

Gravity Gun is so good that it doesn’t need MOD slots and it’s so rare you can’t be too picky looking for one with multiple slots anyway. :P Anyway, Pistols are fine. They’re not as good as Machine Pistols but they’re okay as your first 5-6 slot weapon or if you need a huge upgrade later. The only weapons I’d actively avoid are Long/Wind Bow and Sniper Rifle, most any other weapon type seems pretty usable.

My main problem with the game is deciding when to go for which upgrades. For instance, when is the best time to get your house to lvl 2 for a 4th character?
And something else, exactly what does reforging do? It says it’ll upgrade a weapon, but what does ‘upgrading’ mean here, will it apply a mod or something?

Reforging takes the weapon up a grade. It increases both damage and the skill requirement.

I’m with you. Most of my failures are in the 8-12 day range, and I’m utterly confused if it’s because I wait too long to get my 4th party member, or because I got them too soon.

Lots of folks say to invest in chickens, but how many and when? I’ve tried doing nothing bug chickens for the first few levels, but it didn’t work out so well for me.

Can someone help me out in my situation —

I’m on lvl 85: Still getting by ok

I have 35000 in the bank and my chicken level is only 19.

I’ve been getting by with upgrading my guns when needed but that’s REALLY costly and it’s starting to cost way too much since upgrades are at least 14k to the next level. With money I’ve only been getting by with robbing, but the money isn’t all there. I’ve been barely getting by.

I think I should be able to get by the next 2-3 levels ok… should I invest in chickens? Like buy 35k worth of chicken? If only I could upgrade my gravity guns (i have 2 with leeches on them) and my machine gun and my laser pistol I think I’d be able to rock it to lvl 150.

For those who have bought 150 chickens for chicken king, how much is that total investment to buy all of them? And were you making enough money to upgrade your gear because of it?

Please help and thanks!

You should be able to get the 4th member by day 11. Depending on if you start with the lil girl or not here’s what I generally follow and haven’t failed. After day 1 due to all the updates you should have well over 3k gold, hire someone right away and if you want to spend go ahead and spend up to 2k only. You will need 2k for the house and whatever you make in day 2 should be enough to hire 2nd member. Now that you have 3 including yourself after day 2 you have a few ways to go about it. I generally buy lv 1 repairer as I always end up getting hit once or twice unless I use hunter and then you can either 1) buy chickens and only chickens until day 7 or 2) save what you have until you can hire the last member. If you go route 1, you obviously take eggs from day 8-10 and should be making around 1k a day and depending on the luck with eggs you should be able to hire the last member by day 11 or 10 if good egg production. The downside to chickens is you have to invest almost everything in chickens for it to make a difference in the first 10 days but then it sets you up nicely once you get the last member because you have the income already setup

I’ve never had a problem with the boss level at 10 without the last member. Remember you have granades, use them.

Despite the patch that fixed the NaN money bug if you have a saved game where the NaN money bug occurred (like mine) you can still buy anything. I sure hope it gets an impossible.

Get a bowgun (not rapid) with probably 2-3 mod slots. Get 2 auto fire mods (lvl 3) for the bowgun. I haven’t tried it but maybe it’ll be close to the fire-rate of a auto bowgun.
