[Fantastic Contraption] Was the 1st version better?

Many people seem to Think so, yet I am not sure… The first version, the original one was so original… This one has Sun, giving you more things to Think about… Yet you can cheat very easily on the Prius Version (By making a stationary “Sun Using” Contraption while making the moving one out of more “Moveable”), so that sorta makes easier too… :D

All you have to do is make a normal contraption and some solar duds. No difference from the original, except in this one you can make levels for free.

And this version seems to be glitchier, but maybe I’m imagining things…

This one is really no different than the original with the exceptions of:
The level editor is now free
Some graphics were changed (mostly buttons)
It now uses the level sharing API
And it’s pretty much one gigantic advertisement

The new one is slower, uglier, harder to use, glitchier, and chock full ‘o commie propaganda. I don’t know about anyone else, but I prefer the old one.

This is the bullest propaganda ive seen. The only thing that tops it in low blows is Evony Adverts. You make an ‘energy efficient’ car buy using solar panels. What a nice idea; everyone start making cars out of solar panels. Also, I dont see any solar panels on the Prius. Its just an awesome flash programming guy trying to make money with something corny and easy to see through. I just turned 14, and I can see through it

Advertising for a environment-friendly car is communist propaganda? Get educated.
Yes, the new version might just be milking a dead horse for the purpose of getting money, but please, know the definition of “communist” and “propaganda” before using the words.

advertising something for money is about the farthest you can get from communism, an economic system in which everyone is supposed to be exactly equal no matter what profession they have (people just don’t seem to be able to pull off such a feat)

The first one was better IMO. This version is just a means of attracting people to fantastic contraption before they release a new version of FC that is actually BETTER.
So make sure you guys stick around for a while, the next release is going to be pure awesomeness.

yes what “Blue_J” said. solar panels? forget about it. the new one wont have such nonsense. but this one is literaly no diferent from the origonal other than the worse artwork and the powered wheels run out of power unless you have a pile of solar panels off in a corner somewhere. all of the physics are the same so like I said there is no major diference.

As Blue_J, Ken, and I have all been avid FC1 (original) players and also testers of the unreleased installment, it is an amazingly simple answer that both FC1 and FC2 are easily MUCH better games. Stick around for the new release; you’ll be happy you did.

The free level editor won my support, because I can’t buy membership on the official site. But when I come here to make levels, I find myself feeling homesick… go figure.

I agree with everyone who says the original is better than this, and I eagerly await FC 2, but there’s just something to be said for not being a second class user.

Well my honest feelings is this game is a piece of crap compared to the first one, just my opinion.

they didn’t even fix the explosion glitch… not as if I’m complaining, because it’s helpful.

the new one is nice BUT lags up so MUCH.

I prefer the first one if you want to keep the speed of your computer

It falls apart if the things are heavy.

the first is much better in my oppinion. the only thing bad about the first one is that u have to pay 10$ to get user made levels

I think the new version (Fantastic Contraption 2)will be much better :)
