Hi! I am making a game and I am wondering which one of this two kinds of movement is best. Don’t care about the other elements. You move the blue square with the arrows…

No. 1
No. 2

Thank you for any replies =D

I would say no.1 is best.

I like number one just a tad bit more than the second one. Both movement schemes are pretty workable, though. . . I think players may find number one easier to work with, however.

Not much difference, but indeed number 1 works a bit smoother.

Don’t the enemies go on the toolbar at the top on #2? That could be confusing…

Number 1 has better braking => easier to control => less complaints/less downgraded rates.

Not much of a difference but I think number 1 is better.

Inertia is a hell of a big difference.

I’d definitely go with number 1. Much easier control as Rob & Draco stated. The second one seems a bit out of control.

it think it depends on what you want 1 is easier to control but if you want users to plan ahead the 2nd one is better because they have less breaking and therefor is going to make the game harder

I prefer number 1, unless being out of control is the main reason for difficulty in your game (it doesn’t seem to be, there’s quite a lot of enemies.)

Typo: Lives, not Lifes.
