It seems that many are still having problems with the “Around the World in 18 Days” badge in the game “Learn to Fly” and some even go as far as calling finishing in 18 days impossible, however, finishing the game in mere 13 days isn’t too hard, so I figured I wrote a guide/walk through on how I did it in 13 days, faster isn’t possible without cheating as far as I know.
There are 2 kinds of jumps that you must do, I will explain them in detail first so I can call them by their names from there on:
Distance Jump: This is where you try to get as much distance as possible for the Distance and Speed Achievements. If you are far in the red zone with your speed gauge while going of the ramp, you can hold the left arrow until you leave the red zone (that will be pretty quickly in most cases) to get some extra hight. After leaving the red zone or if you are not in the red zone while leaving the ramp, try to adjust your angle as quickly as possible to where you run out of speed and hight at the same time with as little as possible adjustments later on, NEVER EVER bounce after you get the Glider! Then use your Rocket (if you have one) to get to/stay as close as possible to the red zone on your speed gauge and try to let the hight and speed counters reach 0 at the same with as little as possible adjustments (quick back and forth taps to get the perfect angle don’t matter too much). Later on in the game flying above the water as horizontal as possible becomes the better Distance Jump tactic.
Hight Jump: This is where you try to get as much hight as possible and then slowly gliding down again to get the Hight and Duration Achievements. Hold the left arrow as you go down/leave the ramp to adjust to about a 60 degree angle (I’m unsure about the exact angle, I’m always staring at the speed gauge wile doing this. It doesn’t have to be too exact as far as I know, just try to get the speed right in the next step), for the ones that don’t know angles, that is kind of a line like this: /. Then use up all your Rocket Fuel when you are outside of the red zone of your speed gauge (IF you have a Rocket) and continue to go up until you reach a speed of 10 mph, then adjust your angle to almost horizontally to keep it steady between 8 mph and 10 mph. As you nearly hit the water you can tap the left arrow again to get an extra second or so later on.
This is all you need to know actually, but here is a detailed guide for the ones that are still having trouble making it within 18 days, in this guide you have 5 remaining days to waste, just buy nothing and try again when you waste a day:
Day 1: Don’t press anything and your jump will be perfect.
Day 2: Buy Acceleration 1. Don’t press anything while you leave the ramp and then flatten out horizontally with the right arrow as you hit the water the first time and get the Distance Achievement.
Day 3: Buy Glider 1. Do a Hight Jump to get the Hight and Duration Achievements.
Day 4: Buy Acceleration 3 and play the 5’ Ramp again. Do a Distance Jump and get the Speed Achievement.
Day 5: Buy Ramp Hight 4 and play the 10’ Ramp. Do a Hight Jump and get the Hight and Duration Achievements.
Day 6: Buy Rocket 1 and Air Resistance 4 and play the 20’ Ramp. Do a Hight Jump and get the Hight and Duration Achievements.
Day 7: Buy Glider 2 and play the 10’ Ramp. Do a Distance Jump (Hold Space while going off the ramp for ease) and get the Distance and Speed Achievements.
Day 8: Buy Rocket Fuel 5 and play the 35’ Ramp. Do a Hight Jump and get the Hight and Duration Achievements.
Day 9: Buy Glider 3 and play the 20’ Ramp. Do a Distance Jump (Hold Space as you go off the ramp and tap the right arrow to get some extra speed and then go back to a normal trajectory) and get the Distance and Speed Achievements.
Day 10: Buy Ramp Hight 8 and Acceleration 6 and play the 35’ Ramp. Do a Distance Jump (Hold space again as you go off the ramp and go even more down as the previous one to make the 150 mph, then keep flying close above the water) and get the Distance and Speed Achievements.
Day 11: Buy Air Resistance 9 and play the 50’ Ramp. Do a Hight Jump and get the Hight and Duration Achievements.
Day 12: Buy Rocket 3 and Ramp Hight 10 and play the 50’ Ramp again. Do a distance jump and forget about the Speed Achievement, get a wind resistance of 3% use your rocket fuel as soon as you can without hitting the red zone and get the Distance Achievement.
Day 13: Buy Rocket Fuel 10 and play the 50’ Ramp for the last time. Do a distance jump again and get the angle with 3% wind resistance again and use all your Rocket Fuel in bursts, staying between 175 mph and 200 mph and you should be able to finish the game.
I hope that everyone that read this now finds the “Around the World in 18 Days” badge as easy as I do and good luck!

The achievements are important, they give you moneys.

Thank you so much for your help!

Done it in 14 days!! Thank you very muchh xD !!!

metadata
Great guide, thanks.
You’re right, it doesn’t deserve impossible badge.

metadata
I didn’t follow the guide step by step, but it was very useful, especially the day 2 tip. Thank you :D

metadata
16 Days, thanks, this helped a lot. It took me a few tries to get the techniques down, but I would just restart early if I needed to.

metadata
So long, so long to get this badge. in 18 days but thanks a lot !

metadata
I have tried so long to get this badge, and finally, like 3 years later, I succeeded in exactly 18 days. thanks!

metadata
20 Days!! So close. Nice guide though.

metadata
just an fyi here is a glitch for the first level, you can get both acceleration 1 and glider 1 on day 1, if you start the level and go to another tab (like me reading this guide) wait for a bit and before you leave the ramp go back and press right arrow like on day 2 you can get both the distance and the speed achievements.

metadata
Really good! This will surely help ’em loads out there spending ages on this badge!

metadata
Hah, sounds like a good guide … but, a tad optimistic with 13 days!! Seems like you could start a [help desk](http://www.helprace.com/helpdesksoftware) or databese with so much information out there

metadata
awesome guide, got it in 14 days
