So I’m a college student so that makes me pretty poor. But please, if you feel the urge to donate this is a really fun way to do it! I actually get a kick out of seeing how many gameplays have been racked up and seeing the donation total rise. So I can’t show you the check because that has alot of important information. I will try to show you guys some other way tho. Plus I’m gonna talk to greg and emily and see if they wont match my donation! I’ll keep you guys updated. |
I’d love to play the game more if it had more song selections, to be honest. |
Thats very true, that would make it’s replay value a lot higher. The next game I pick will have a really high replay value! So no worries if you can’t keep on playing music catch! |

So today is the last day for this everyone! It ends tonight at midnight, then I’ll be donating the amount to the WFP. Be sure to check out the downloadable Music Catch. You can use your own MP3s!! Well, If anyone else is up for donating via gameplays or something of the sort please post and I will change the name of the Forum to the Game that is up for charity. Peace. |

Here is the page I got from WFP after I donated as proof of my donation: Thank you very much for your generous contribution. We are very grateful for your support. Your contribution will help the World Food Program (WFP) continue its work to fight hunger around the world. For over 40 years, WFP has worked to prevent famine and help move people from reliance on aid to self-sufficiency. Every year, WFP feeds an average of 90 million people, two-thirds of them children, in over 80 countries. Thank you very much for your support. Your gift will make a real difference! Sincerely, Karen Sendelback Your contribution is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. This page serves as your receipt for tax purposes; please print it for your records. You will also receive this message by email if a valid email address was provided. No goods or services were received in exchange for this gift. The following summarizes your contribution: |

what i say is, if the don’t pay, they can’t play |

If you guys would like to see more games for charity please let me know! Also, if you are feeling generous I would really like at least one person to join me in donating so that we can start to build up this trend on Kongregate. Thanks for everyone who wrote their support so far. All the best, |

The idea of the developers donating makes sense. However, DanielVonRommel makes a valid point in the first post above. Other than setting an example for others, donating based on gameplay is less efficient than directly donating. FreeRice donates more when you play longer because it actually makes more money from ad revenue when you do. Still, I commend your generous spirit. Keep it up and I hope it catches on with game developers. |

Hey Everyone! So I just wanted everyone to know that FreeRice now has multiple subjects that you can test on. Also, the United Nations World Food Programme has a virtual wall that you can put a picture on if you donate to their fill a cup campaign. Pretty sweet stuff. Does any of the Kong staff know if anything charity oriented is happening to Kong any time soon? Emily Greer said that they might be able to begin developement on Kong for Charity by Christmas! I know you guys are working hard so I just wanted to check. Last sweet thing. I made FreeRice bracelets! Haha, check em out! |
