Flailer: get so close you cannot see all of your or you oppennents body, when youre this close he cant hurt you because he does not kick (or at least not for me) Archer: block when he fires arrows and inch forward between shots. Spearman: the spearman can be hard but if playing with ellder it is very easy, just keep using forward attack and stay close to him. Sorceror: go toward him to attack as he shoots energy balls up, when he finishes hold block so you wont take damage as the energy balls come down. When it stops raining energy balls go after him and repeat the steps until he dies. Note: most of these tips are based off of experiences with ellder (the night elf). |

the shortswordsman piss me off! they are godlike! |

when SORCERER throwing blast |
|

hey the long sword man are easy just block then jump attack and you have it of course then block again |

Thanks for the help. I got the badge! However, there is a better way to deal with the stationary spearman. If you go outside of his stationary hit range, he’ll do a charging attack. You can block this, kick and hit for easier damage than creeping through his constant attack. |

I got the badge as well Thanks to decimus’ strat’ |
|
|
For the flail, all you have to do is stand on him, and hold attack. Thank you so much for this guide, I’ve got the badge now :) |

Ok guys, for those who are used to Prince Aldon, here is a set that i use to hack and slash throughout Beneril. “Achilles Set” Armor: Greaves, Bracers, Helm, Mith Vest(optional) All of these items will make you act like Achilles in the game. |
|
|
with the archer u don’t need to block they do little damage just charge in and hit him fast and a lot |

Thank you, saneiac, for starting this thread and providing such a useful guide. Also thank you, ThirdParty, for yours as well. I especially like your style vs the stationary twirler..
It seems backwards but it’s actually very effective and way less dangerous than trying to be defensive with him. My badge-win started with the Longsword w-shield guy because the Sword w/o-shield guy was next, and he is simply too hard to beat later in the game. Thanks again to you both! :D |

The stationary spearman generaly tends to do the same attack over and over again, when in range – he does a kind of a double-thrust, then pauses for a second, and attacks again. There is actually quite a lot of time between those attacks (especially, that something is wrong with this attack… either the seccond thrust doesn’t do damage, or it has shorter range), so it’s easy to back away. The stationary spearman will then always attack covering himself with his shield – that’’s good! After you back away, just block. He’ll attack you while covering with his shield and most of the time end up within the range of your kicks. The pauses between his double-thrusts are not enough for you to whack him with your sword, but are just enough to make him vulnerable against your kicks. So, kick the bastard, whack him and back away. Block, let him get in range, kick him, whack, back away. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Actyally, I can’t imagine how the hell is it possible to defeat the whirler as the 6th gladiator in a bashing contest… I hardly ever manage to squeeze in 1/3 of the dmg he does to me… |

The short swordsman is also beatable. I’ve just almost manage to beat him on lvl 10, and lost mostly because i started VERY poorly (so when I started using the strategy, I had already 1/2 of my life). You can actually fight him the same way, as I explained against the spearman combined with the strategy against the longswordsman. He pretty much acts with the same pattern, as the stationary spearman. He tries to get in range against you (only he does that not only with the shield cover attack, but also with the more dangerous shield bash), when he’s too close, he kicks (again, unlike the stationary spearman, who kicks less, since he has a lot more range, than the short swordsman). When he’s in the range he wants, he starts constantly attacking without moving with quick attacks. And, like with the spearman, this is his weaknes, and the moment we can get him. He uses two attacks, when he stands still (which is what he has in common with the longswordsman) – an attack from above his head (sort of like a circular constant swipe) and a thrust. The overhead swipe is very fast, the thrust however is not, and it also leaves a short moment for us to land a kick. And when he gets kicked this way, he stays kicked (non of that “i could hear him being kicked, but he’s still walking, omg, wtf”). What’s even better, this short moment gives us enough time to back away out of his range, if his out of the range of our kicks (!). So, he can’t hurt us, when he’s too close (we block, the worst he can do is kick us for acceptable dmg), he can’t hurt us when he’s too far (he’ll shield bash us (which hurts, but is still acceptable) or shield-cover attack us, which is painless) and all we have to do is wait for him to cool down and stand in one place, and we can hurt him, when he’s in mid range, while he’s pausing after the thrusting attack, and if he’s out of the range of our kicks, we can make a painless step back! Sounds perfect? It would be, if it weren’t so difficult anyway. But if you manage to feel his rythm and have patience (don’t use the first possible occasion to kick. Wait long enough to be sure, that you can do it more or less safely), it’s possible to defeat even a high level shortswordsman (i’ve almost managed a 10th level). Oh, and btw.: ;) |

Lord of War ty guide! i could never defeat the halbideer (probably spelt wrong) until i read this guide. |

Many thanks to you! At last… This badge was super-hard but I was lucky. My last two enemies was Long Sword Mans :P Thanks for 60 points! |
|

If you are playing as ellder or toldor against a double-blades man you keep stepping back with him in range and occasionally do a backwards move. |
|

theres no friken way to kill a whirler |

Stationary Spearmen is easy imo >_> When you can’t move in for a kick, back out. You’ll be out of his stabbing range. Then he’ll charge + attack while blocking. Don’t move but block. Now you should be in range for a kick. Sometimes you have to hold kick for it to hit (Coz he’ll hit you and so on). Stationary Whirler… Yeah, i think it’s the hardest. Swordsman the 2nd :/ |
|

i took the strategies from the 1st post and tweaked one or two of them slightly… if anyone wants to see the strategies shown in video form, i made some vids: Part 1 (short swordsman /w shield through stationary whirler) – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csc0vm5Iiz8 I did get the Imp badge via these methods… but this compilation of videos is just to show strategy to anyone who is having trouble, it is NOT 1 continuous run (but the entire 2nd vid is). I posted up a full text and video guide on kongreguide.com. It should be added sometime today. |

I found an easier way to kill the Stationary Spearman. What I did was just dislocating knee kick him and then walked back until when I swung my sword, only the tip hit him. Then, I held down block and he did his little “behind the shield walk” up to me and tried to stab. After I blocked the stab, I knee kicked again and repeated this until he died. |

U Know the werler is so easy to beat just keep attackingand he missas so much let him hit him |

I tried using Toldor the Orcand never got very far. First off, I could only got past the Stationary Whirler about one time in four. Also, I had great troubles with the two Longswordsmen in a row, though no one else seemed to have trouble with them at all. I could never get the timing right; I’d let go of block and press attack as soon as I saw them do the attack, but I would be too late most of the time. Once I got 10 kills, and once 9, from restarting again and again to get the short-sword man with small shield first, but other than that I got a handful of 7s and 8s. Then I tried Decimus’s advice with Prince Aldon. Completed it first time with no trouble. Didn’t even get close to dying; not once. The only hard guy in the entire lot is the Stationary Whirler, and I met him on Didn’t even start on the optimal character (started on the flailer); got the Stationary Whirler on level 7 and killed him just by standing on the spot (or maybe running at him and attacking a lot; I don’t really remember). And when I say hard, I don’t mean particularly hard. Meeting the Stationary Whirler at level 7 with Prince Aldon was easier than meeting the same guy at the same level with Toldor, and MUCH easier than meeting the short-sword man at even level 3 with Toldor. In the end I got to level 20 and got killed by… you guessed it… the NEXT stationary whirler. |
