I want to try minecraft, I really do, but I have a few questions;

1. How well would this run on a Mac?
2. How often do creepers attack and destroy stuff you make?
3. Are mods download seperate or do they come with the game?
4. How scary is this game really?

I didn’t find it scary at all when I first saw it(when I was 12)…
Mods are seperate.
creepers? just don’t go near one and no explosions will come. if you hear a ssssssssssssssssssssssssss, RUN!

1) Not sure, haven’t tried(Protip: get pirated version and try before buying game to make sure it works)
2) Random. If you keep the places near your house and your house itself well lit you shouldn’t have too many problems. Or if your a scared there’s always peaceful mode
3) Seperate, they aren’t very hard to install tho.
4) Not scary at all

1. Fine.

2. Depends. Light up your area around so they don’t spawn. OR set it on peaceful.

3. Separate.

4. Only scary part is when you’re mining and suddenly you hear a sssssss…

I am sorry, but GaTm, I think you worded that badly, Notch IS THE MAIN CREATOR. But not the main developer.

Fact: Mobs cannot spawn on bedrock
Fact: The nether has bedrock on the bottom and on the top
Fact: You can glitch through bedrock
Fact: The place above the bedrock in the nether is flat.

I’m gonna say this first, DO NOT try this in singleplayer, you’ll be stuck forever(unless you switch to creative and break bedrock)

If you play in an anarchy server(servers where griefing, pvp..etc is allowed) the best place to hide your base is above the nether. You can just /sethome or similiar there and store all your stuff there! Above the nether is infinitely flat land, whith no mobs. If you get silk touch you can even get ice and make farms up there!

How you get up there:

Rich way: Go to the highest possible point in the nether, throw 2-3 enderpearls on the bedrock and you’ll glitch through
Poor way: Go to the highest possible point in the nether, place a wooden door on the ground, open the door then stand where the door would be when its closed, then close the door so now you should be inside the door, now disconnect/exit and rejoin the server and……BAYAM! your above the nether.(Last tested in 1.3.2)

Bookcases make enchantment tables have higher level enchantments.
If you don’t have over 10 levels, it is best to enchant with level 1 enchantments.
Often, level 1 on armor will give you protection I.
Diamonds spawn at Y-level 1-17.
Diamonds spawn in chunks of 1-8.
If you have ice under soul sand, you go twice as slow as normal soul sand.
You can break blocks in adventure mode if you have the tool to break that item.
You break blocks slower in water and cobwebs.
