Unnamed Game

Hey guys, I am going to create a RTS side scroller fantasy game. Since, this is my first game, I’ll post updates and artwork in the hope you might like it and would play it when it is released. I would ovbiously also gladly listen to any suggestions you can make, and reply as soon as possible. Please note that it might not be good, as I am still a 9th grader and am not good at coding and I am completely alone in developing this game, but I would still appreciate any support you can give me. The features I am trying to imput are :-

1. Around 30-35 units (Dragons, Sea Serpent, Pheonix, Hydra, Cerberus etc.)
2. Around 10-15 spells (Black Hole, Reverse Time, Meteor Rain, Earthquake etc + almost every unit will have 1-4 spells [ sort of like warcraft] )
3. Precise unit control
4. Achievements
5. You can buy defensive buildings and turrets.
6. Resource Management
7. You can build a camp and buy units
8. Great story, and as many missions as I can think of.

I can’t think of any others, I’ll keep you posted.

It’s a RTS fantasy war side-scrolling game
I can’t very well reveal the story, can I? All I can say is I have thought it out completely, and I like it.
I am making it because I want to.
And my heart isn’t good at making names.

@Sexihunter Re our conversation yesterday, i have blackened cerberus a bit, and this is the result. Does this look better?

it has more the dark aura (for me) :D anyways the 2 of them are great ..

No! Really? Oh man… I was really trying to make some good graphics, but it looks like paint? Don’t worry, I’ll try harder from the next sprite.

In my opinion the drawings are not bad, but you need to make a way to distinguish them from the background. They seem to be stealing attention away from the characters, so why don’t you try one of these?

1. Make the background more faded than the characters.
2. Make the background have a duller color scheme than the characters.
3. Have thicker outlines for the characters.

Really? And I thought it was the most boring background ever. It steals attention from the units?? I’m looking for another background now. I’ll keep your advice in mind, sulphite.

By the way this is the Black Dragon. He’s one of the strongest units in the game, is very difficult to get, and is a personal favorite of mine. The sprite doesn’t seem very good, though.

Stick to that graphical style at all costs.

The problem is that the background and the spell effects don’t co-operate well with the characters.

i like your game pictures but i have a lot of questions: is it inspired by epic war?how many missions will be? is gona be story in game? will you make 2.nd part?will the name of this game gona be epic?

i can’t see the images at all for some reason..
