chrono cross?

orginally i posted this on the wrong forum but i will watch both of them to make sure i get my answer hopefully or answers.
My problem is that i cant find good turn based stratgey games like chrono cross or chrono trigger any more its like they have died i have been searching the internet for weeks now and i need some god dahm help if you could recomend anygames to me i would be gratfull one more thing im asking you to help me no…. im begging you to help me find what im looking for on my knees praying to who ever is out there god godess sun god xenu from sciencetology please i have not lost hope.
p.s. if your wondering why its on kongregate is because i cant think of a better place to put it…..

So, basically, you’re looking for any turn-based strategy games?

Here’s a few, see if any of these work for you:

Pokemon (It’s turn based, at least.)

Advance Wars

Any RTS (They aren’t turn-based, but they are strategy.) (Examples of RTS are Halo Wars, Command and Conquer, etc)

Most Final Fantasy games (especially the early ones)

Any console-styleRPG.

Your looking more so towards turn-based RPGs rather than strategy games (via how the consensus defines the genres). Basically any Final Fantasy title from I – X-2 uses the system you’ve described. Also, there are a literally a ton of these games, you shouldn’t be having trouble finding them.

I won’t be able to suggest anything unless you put what system your going to play this game on. Pc? playstation1,2,3?

Chrono Cross’ battle system is very similar to the one used in Xenogears (CC’s is a bit more refined) so you could try that cough if you can find it. The game itself is…quite an experience. Very long, heavy storyline, opinions differ as to its quality.

I hated Xenogears, =P… I thought Persona 1 & 2 or Parasite Eve (ran through a emulator and speed up x2) for the PS to be great games…

Xenogears is easily one of my favorite rpg’s ever. The story was just epic and the characters were fantastic. The art was really good, the mech battles were awesome, and the combo system for the player battles was really well done. Unless you’re deeply religious and offended by the religious undertones in the plot, I can’t see how you’d hate it.

That was three – five years ago for about three hours, did not like it. I don’t remember why, but I didn’t like it. I thought Xeno Saga was ‘ok’.

sounds awsome ill look that one up and thank you for telling me i was looking for turn based rpgs prolly why i was having so much trouble :)
by the way i have one game you might like but you wont find it in a store most likley its called front mission 4
heavy dtty story line large customability from a paint job to roket launchers.
sigh if only mine didnt fry :(

oh im sorry i thought i defined this also if i would have noticed i would of put it in my last post
this is a list of the systems i have and i would try any them but i would prefer the top of the list (on system dosnt need to be game)

xbox360
pc
gamecube

the only one i havnt got is wii……

i think i forgot to tell you um …….
no realtime i absoluttley hate real time……
even with a post dedicated to it i feel it still isnt stressed enough sigh
