Dead Rising V Left 4 Dead

BOTH of these zombie games are regarded as classics, both very fun and enjoyable games. But which ones better, do you think that the chop till you drop of Dead Rising is bloody great or Left 4 Deads Multiplayer has the cutting edge?

I’d say Dead Rising is horribly flawed, the save system is an utter joke, and the ‘arcade’ mode isn’t up to snuff. This was kind of heart breaking especially since it could have been the highlight of the game. Anyways, once you’ve been around the mall once there isn’t too much left to see and/or do. As for L4D, haven’t played it, but both of these games are new, too new to be hailed as classics.

Dead Rising.

I remember entering the maintenance tunnels for the first time. WOW.

L4D is fun though.

Both are great games. I guess if you like free roam games, go with Dead Rising, but I like Lef 4 Dead better.

Dead Rising was okay in theory, but I didn’t like how they handled the story. If the day passed a little bit slower, it would have at least given players a chance to have some fun while doing the story — I felt like I was always rushing around.

But ignoring that, I’d go with Left 4 Dead for the sole reason that surviving with friends is more fun than surviving alone.

L4D is immensily better.

I hope they improve Dead Rising 2, though.

probaly L4D and woot number 2 came out!

Id have to go with dead rising,the story line is great and plus the changing your clothes and using anything as a weapon is a must.

Left 4 Dead Is better then Dead Rising on my opinion.

dead rising for the win but the save system is a pain i have to agree with u stoic001 i find left 4 dead enjoyable when your with friends but its a bit to short so definetly dead rising :D

Haha, oh god, Dead Rising. The only game I ever found unplayable. I even got through Too Human.

L4D is definitely better than DR.

L4D2, however, is somewhat closer.

Hey, I liked Too Human. And I had more fun with Dead Rising than I did with Left 4 Dead (which gets old pretty quickly).

I would have enjoyed Too Human a little more if it wasn’t for that minute-long death scene. =P

dead rising is more original and entertaining in my mind!

I like Dead Risings more,but i think there´s not enough time.

I thought Dead Rising was a terrible game. Yes killing zombies is fun but the whole you have so much time to get out or you have to get from here to there in this amount of time really dissatisfied me.

Dead rising:

-Someone bearable trips through the mall
-Zombies are retards
- No multiplayer
- Poor gameplay.
-Predictable story

L4d:

-Long, confusing roads
- Zombies on ’roids
- Great multiplayer
- Good gameplay.
- No story.

There’s story in L4D but you have to piece together what the survivors say and look at the writings on the walls.

woop dead rising 2’s out, and it’s soooooooooo much better tha the other 1 which had some funny gameplay but dead rising 2 is way better, it’s just so much better and more unpredictable than the other 1, you can also combine weapons, which is just funny and also i found that the gameplay is a lot sharper. I would have to say now I think that dead rising is better than left 4 dead xD

Dead Rising has its laughs though.

Dead rising 1 = Dead rising 2 w/o the playboy covers, honestly wtf was with those anyways…

Two different genres, so if you prefer hack and slash action → Dead rising

Co-op fps-es → Left 4 Dead

If it came right down to it though Left 4 Dead comes out miles ahead; DR is just too frustrating to get into, especially the first one. You cannot beat a well balanced versus match, probably one of the best game play experiences out there atm.
