Hello there,
I think I need some hints.
I've got about 800M dark mana and can reach cave 120 when I wait long enough (Loathing).
Usually, I reset after some hours, reaching cave between 80 - 90, getting maybe 1-2M dark mana.
Either I am doing something wrong or missed something, because the progression feels extremely slow.
I need more than 5 resets, before I can buy any new perk.
Any ideas?
Thank you
Xentar

With your DM you should be able to push a lot further than that. Once you get Magic science 5 you are getting a new building which produce a lot of dark mana, it will be your main source after that. But to get MS 5 you need to beat cave 130. I'm sure that you are able to get there.
For loathing you can use the white flag to generate the bonus faster instead of waiting for normal death on ennemy

Ms5 requires c130's Archdemon killed.

Ok. So I will try to reassign some skills into Attack and beat cave 130. Maybe my perk balance is just bad.. maybe I put too many into "Loot" or "Equipment".
Yeah, I know that with the white flag - but clicking the button 1000 times is boring :) Maybe I should use an autoclicker for that

Progression is slow. Even for late game people pushing past 125 isnt really worth it a lot of the time. And the first time you push deep anywhere, it's always really rough. Make sure you have all the red rewards you can done, Make sure you're buying trainers. Equipment perk is mathmatically largely a noob trap if the price is even comparable to other options. Dont be afraid to spend a couple hours farming maps. As boring as it may be, its just more of the same. Farming more DM will always help, but you're already well past a threshold where pushing deep > farming.

You all forget something really important!!! On Cave 123 you unlock furnace, which will give you a 2000% increase to attack, HP and armor. Push there and directly complete the "fluent servant" quest, regardless of how many feathers you need for it. Then everything is well again.
If you have question how to utilize furnace, just ask :)

I've got the quest, but I wasn't able to beat it yet.
The reward sounds promising :)

Later in the game you are getting a red reward which help you with the white flag. Each time you use it, it counts as multiple death

Yay, I unlocked the Furnace :)
I think I found out how it works
* Does not stay after dark rituals
* ~~For every enemy I kill, the reward is increased - after upgrading, the bonus goes back to zero. Enemies in repeatable quests do not count.~~
* ~~Before upgrading, I should first reset the furnace, to make it cheaper. The bonus will be gone anyway.~~
* ~~So I should not buy every upgrade, because it may be, that I cannot reach the previous bonus until the latest cave I can reach. I have to find the middle between "One more upgrade" and "Not enough enemies left until the end".~~
Now my next goal is beating the boss in c130.
Edit:
Very wrong, indeed.

Very wrong.], if I'm understanding what you've said.
You get no bonus until you purchase the level of the furnace where enemy kills are stored. Most people aim for 130-150%. But each kill makes the upgrade more expensive, and each time you redeem the kills, the base cost of the upgrade also goes up. In general, the further you get in the game, the earlier you redeem the upgrade, so the inverse is also true.

I don't get it :(
Maybe it is because I don't have the overseer yet.
What do you mean by "each time you redeem, the base cost goes up"? The hint says "Reset bonus to zero and price to base price".
Will have to test the behavior a little bit.
Edit: Ok, this thread helped me:

Edit 2: Damn it..
Read another thread, and the explanation there helped me a lot.

That's what you meant with "where enemy kills are stored". I have to buy it, to get the benefit - the "actual" bonus does not go back to 0, just the charge.
Makes sense.

I beat hypno before I had 5m DM.

Just a small update of my progress.
I got the furnace + the overseer. Now reaching cave 130 is not such a big problem anymore (depends in which cave I meet the Devastator, if I do not skip it). But the boss in 130 still is.
SolomonTF2: I think you meant "beat hypno before 5b DM" like billion, instead of 5m? I've got almost 900m DM now.. so 5b is still a looooong way.
I set my next goal to get some more of the "Unspikeable" and "Unserviceable" rewards.

I beat Hypno not too long after release. I've been as far as c180. Most of my DM grinding has been post-arma. I think I had like 2-3m for Hypno. So, no.

No, 5 million DM. I accumulated 120+ rages by mob walking for about 20 min, and killed hypno in one hit. No speedups.

Jay, I did it :)
Just spammed Rage + Speed up spells, then the boss was pretty easy.

Go for Magic science 5 then ;)

Magic science 5: done. :)
Now I love the Collectors and I really need more of them..
Next goal: Get some more rewards
I think "the wall" mentioned in the title is broken for now.
By the way: In the screenshot of JRJetu, what is the button left of "Dark Ritual"? Looks like a spirit, or a cross or something like that.

This is the challenge button, you have some time before getting that, don't worry for now :)
