  • then 120 con cap, mist cap, why don’t devs just ban those accounts using scripts? Banning static IP is useless once they change to another IP.

Guild has already become void+10, but I can’t pay for con anymore. Sometimes I have a day off so I can play a lot, and 5000 mists cap sucks. Why do I have to double-pay the mist since I play too much? Because we play together with scripters?

It’s none of that. The mist cap (facebook got 3k so I feel lucky) was made to stop people from spending too much time on this game and over 5k mist is not healthy, and to stop mist loops that came to light (some people even admitted to finding a mist loop) so yes it is guilt by association, but it’s not due to scripters, but the people spending 10k mist and losing almost no coin.

Some are due to scripters. I’ve tested it. I need about 6 hours to spend 5k mists in Fallen. Will you play for 6 hours? You will if you wanna max out the benefit when you get both genius and heroic.

Edit: whatever in Fallen or Faction, even faster in Mystics

The mist cap is actually there for both good and bad. It will motivate more ppl to play a lot during a day as they have a goal to achieve. Sometimes it’s even a so good motivator that it makes ppl reach mist cap by only doing mainland on a normal tuesday… But then there’s the bad side of the mist cap, it stops ppl that would go for that 5k anyways, making them play less than they would otherwise… But as weezy said, it’s also there to make sure you don’t play for unhealthy amount of time. ;)

Btw, this is probably off-topic, but there’s a really good reason why the stock on FB says 3k and that’s ‘cause they still have a mist cap of 5k before they have to pay the double price. If they had the 5k stock too then they would have a mist cap at 7k mists and that’s not really fair, right?

What if I have no life and I like to play DW with full boosts/weekend/high guild bonus/high individual bonus? I hit mist cap 4 times, and just 1 I was satisfied and quit playing for the day. (4.00AM :D)

And we all know that 5000 energies are easy to trash. On a war I did 800M (when I was way weaker) and burnt 3200 energies in 2h. Not to mention FW/Fallen to keep my bonus.

I’ve sworn to not pay any money to this game since the Socialists took over. With that in mind….anyone who does spend money during a normal run….should automatically not hit a mist cap. Money trumps too much free time.

I would say that the amount of growth you make in this game is based on this easy formula: Amount of free time*Amount of gems you have access to*Your determination to keep killing mobs.

It is indeed possible to be as strong as many gemmers even though you play for free, but that’s hard ‘cause then you would have to think through every decision you make, you would have to play smartly… We’ve come to the point where gemmers doesn’t get more things than free players, they just get it faster and I gotta say that I like a game more if I have the choice of paying for it more than if I’m forced to pay for it.

I can’t say that there’s any other game out there that I have payed $600 for and on top of that it was ’cause I decided to do that, not ’cause I had to, but ’cause I felt like doing it.

EDIT But I gotta agree with alberto for once. I would say that for every gem you buy is the mist cap increased by the same amount for a certain amount of time.

If you only wanna hit the mist cap and you have enough coins, just repeat auto-explorering and misting.

    (kidding)
Holy Mister: hit mist cap 10 times, to unlock infinite mist stocks.
I’ll be happy if we have a such new badge.

Socialism does work in certain circumstances http://www.slate.com/blogs/browbeat/2012/02/01/the_nfl_equals_socialism_bill_maher_illustrated_by_fraser_davidson.html

By the expansions able to be funded, the starting cash to start a new game and the need for 2 servers on kong and one on FB and MS I think he knows what he is doing
