-All around UFoW, people are dropping dead, seemingly for no reason. These people, mostly without any prior condition such as asthma, simply stop breathing and die. Nothing doctors try works. Doctors have no idea what is causing this. The disease, or whatever it really is, is weakening morale in UFoW and causing significant deaths.
-Chinese aid trucks, backed by IDC money, are rolling in to UFoW to help with delivering vital supplies. One of their more notable contributions is oil and gasoline; without vital shipments from China, transportation would be much more difficult for the average UFoW citizen and the war machine would slow quite a bit. Food, water and other essentials are also given out to the needy and to the government to distribute to soldiers, to alleviate some of their costs.
-UFoW breaks out in complete rebellion. All non-Russian UFoW subnations secede. Several different nations secede within Russia; they are described below. A map has been made to show the war more clearly. (Stability Decrease)
-Several UFoW generals die, several more defect to the enemy or escape to the Nordic countries, and many elite soldiers do the same. This coupled with the general loss of morale decreases UFoW’s military strength. (Power Decrease)
-The first faction is the Great Karelian Republic. The area that comprises the Karelian Republic has fewer urban centers than other parts of European Russia, and consequently received fewer bombs making an organized rebellion easier. Pre-secession, Karelians were also polled to be one of the least loyal people in Russia, so it was natural that they were one of the groups that formed their own nation. The Republic seeks dominance over the northern areas of European Russia. The capital is Murmansk.
-The second faction is the St. Petersburg Free State. St. Petersburg was hit hard, but its population was still high enough to mobilize a rebellion. The new nation naturally coalesced around the city, which states its goal of surviving and removing all threats to its national sovereignty.
-The third faction is Caucasus. Caucasus is made up of the most southern areas of Russia, and in the very south you can find the mountains which provide the fledgling nation’s name. It has a well-organized government compared to the other rebel states, and has the most conservative wargoal; it wishes to avoid war with UFoW altogether, and has stated that no matter the situation it will not advance more than 50 miles into UFoW land. It also states that it wishes to create a peaceful union with the other Caucasus nations; Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia.
-The fourth faction is the United Northern Provinces, which currently occupy the northeastern and north-middle (I couldn’t think of a better way to put that) of the pre-secession Russian nation, are interested in gaining control over the northern coast of Russia, and they wouldn’t say no to more Russian land either. They also take a hard stance against the current UFoW, and they plan to launch aggressive attacks soon.
-The fifth and final faction is called the Siberian Opposition, and they are not interested in abolishing UFoW, and they do not necessarily want the current government toppled either. They are Siberian nationalists, wanting Siberia’s prominence to equal its size; they feel it is unfair that European Russia is so powerful compared to the much larger Siberia. They demand a capital shift to a city east of the Urals, they demand relocation of citizens, and above all else they demand all government funds go to cleaning the area. They will fight to topple the government, but only if it is necessary for them to achieve their goals.
