Okay, sure.

Let’s test the < pre > thing out.

Italy; 500B (700B Income)
Sizeable (near Big), Undersized (near Mediocre), Veteran (near Professional), Guarded, Affluent
Trade Pacts: Brazil ($100B) Australia ($150B) Canada ($150B)
Research: None
-The Italian government appropriates 50 billion dollars to subsidize shipping and agriculture. It works well for a short time and Italy’s economy starts to look up, but before the shift was complete the program ran out of funding and the advances mostly melted away, though there is still some remaining benefit. (-$50B)
-Italy asks Vatican City if they wish to merge, and when they reply that they do not Italy threatens to annex them. However, the United States government intervenes stating that if Italy attacks Vatican City, the United States will defend it. Not wanting to go up against one of the world’s most powerful nations, Italy backs down with nothing but a few thinly-veiled threats towards the USA.

Hmm, it’s annoying to scroll through all that. What do you guys think?
Is the added aesthetic appeal worth the scrolling?
I would say no, but I’ll leave it up to you folks seeing as I don’t actually read the updates here.

You could try < blockquote > < /blockquote > then, it does it in the same type of thing as the quoteboxes, although it seems to break textile faster.

I wish to make an empire without bloodshed. My surrounding nations aren’t making it easy. Belarus and Ukraine will probably willingly eventually become a state of Russia, but the others….

Spring 2012

World
-The United Nations has decided to give economic aid to Poland.
-The United Nations is calling a conference to discuss what should be done about the Cyprus situation, the Iraqi rebellion, and the German invasion of the Netherlands.

Iraq; 250B (+150B Income)
Undersized, Undersized, Untrained, Collapsing, Destitute
-The rebels in Iraq gain traction after the United Nations’ failure to act, and the country is swamped with patches of rebellion. Things are looking grim for the government in Baghdad.

Baltica; 350B (+250B Income)
Sizeable, Average, Trained, Solid, Middling
-Estonia refuses Lithuania’s offer of a union, stating that they are not in any danger from Germany or any other foreign power and that they wish to remain sovereign.
-Latvia, however, being closer to Germany and being more culturally linked with Lithuania anyway, accepts the offer and forms the state of Baltica. (-$150B)

Turkey; 200B (+250B Income)
Sizeable, Big, Veteran, Solid, Middling
-Turkey sends its new, powerful navy into a blockade of Greece and Cyprus. It states its intention of toppling the current Greek Cypriot government and reestablishing it as a pro-Turkish state. It informs Greece that if it attempts to intervene, Turkey’s ships will crush the Greek navy. (-$150B)

Russia; 300B (+500B Income)
Big, Big, Veteran, Solid, Middling
Trade Pacts: China (+$50B) Germany (+$100B) UK (+$100B)
Research: None
-Russia asks Finland if they wish to unify their countries. Finland rejects the proposal completely.
-Russia goes on a recruitment campaign across the nation, but only recruits troops that can be trained as well as their current ones. The campaign is a failure, as Russia’s strict qualifications fail to bring in any more but a few. (-$200B)
-The remainder of Russia’s budget is spent on improving the state of Russia’s agriculture, improving the state of Russia’s industry, and beautifying the landscape. The economy is boosted. (-$350B, Economic Increase)

Italy; 800B (+700B Income)
Sizeable (near Big), Mediocre, Professional, Guarded, Affluent (near Prosperous)
Trade Pacts: Brazil (+$100B) Australia (+$150B) Canada (+$150B)

-Italy spends a modest $100 billion on recruiting more troops for its reserve forces. Because recruitment was already going quite well, the small funding still manages to push Italy’s reserves significantly higher. (-$100B, Reserves Increase)
-Italy sinks $100 billion dollars into improving its cashflow, but the program lacks both direction and funding. It is a failure. (-$100B)

-The USA begins a military recruitment drive for its reserve forces. It is a resounding success, though it comes at great cost to the nation’s treasury. (-$300B)
-The United States decreases taxes on the poor but raises them on the rich. While the idea is sound, the amount of money gained by the increased taxes on the wealthy is barely more than the money lost by reducing taxes on the poor. (-$50B)

-China delivers the following propaganda message to its people, touring the country to make sure everyone (or nearly everyone) hears it: “The rebels who stormed the National People’s Congress last month are criminals who posed a serious threat to the free people of China. China has always held the peoples’ interests in mind, and have always worked to make China a better place for the common man. Regarding Tibet, the leader of the nation lawfully and willingly allowed China to take cntrol of it. The legality of this has never been challenged.” (-$150B, Stability Increase)
-China invests $100B into agriculture, but the project is not funded well enough to increase China’s economic state. (-$100B)
-China contributes $50B to Poland. Undoubtedly this helped it to attain the victories it did against Germany. (-$50B)

Germany; 150B (+350B Income)
Mediocre, Sizeable, Professional, Unstable, Middling
Trade Pacts: Russia (+$100B)
Research: None
-Germany’s economy begins to suffocate under the weight of the embargoes that have been placed on it by numerous countries. (Economic Decrease)
-Shocking the world after its invasion of Poland, Germany turns right around and invades the Netherlands. The Netherlands, caught off guard and with its smaller military, is crushed by the German invaders and reduced to a small stronghold in the west of the country. (-$250B, Size Decrease)
-Germany’s population is very angry towards the government for their continued imperialistic practices, and revolts and localized rebellions occur in many cities. The mass strikes, looting and property destruction injure Germany’s economy further. (Stability Decrease, Economic Decrease)
-As Germany’s attention shifts to the Netherlands, the Poles strike back against the German invaders after receiving ample economic aid as well as a boost in nationalist fervor. They take back about half of their lost land.

Thanks for the update. ^^ More Troops – Less threats. XD I intend on making a HUGE defense so when someone tries to attack me, they have like 50 troops and then they see 50,000 of my troops towering over them. XD Imagination: It’s a truly good thing.

I believe that CANADA IS PLANNING AN ATTACK.
Why else would the ONLY thing you did increase your troops? EXPLAIN YOURSELF! You already had more than sufficient troops for defense, and America defending you!
