Welcome, fighters and their controllers! You people are here to… well, to fight. Like in that other game, you know the one… ah… well, it slips my mind right now, but the long and the short is, controllers should fill this first form in for their fighters, then do the second form when they want them to actually fight another fighter. Oh, and another form is available for arena creation now, too. Now get to it!

Oh, but there are certain rules, too – this site has its own rules, as does the page this whole thing is on, so follow them, and, uh… no unavoidable attacks or unbreakable defenses, of ANY form, and when we say “one”, we do mean one only. Also, nothing blatantly overpowered, like full-on reality control or omnipotence or whatever. Alright, have fun.

So unlike my friend above me, I’m going to actually tell you what stuff does. The character creation sheet, to be specific.

Name: This is your fighter’s name. Pretty standard stuff. If you want him or her to be referred to by a nickname, add it in brackets (those are the things this sentence is in now).

Power: The other game the guy above referred to was based around a tier system, which, in our opinion, was clunky, and led to many arguments about power and such. This uses a more refined point system, where a fighter is ranked from one to five six thousand points. Funny story, actually: a friend of ours has his own levelling system, and we’d say one solid ability in his system corresponds to 250 points in ours, just for reference. These come into play later, mind, so pay attention.

Appearance: The physical traits of a fighter – build, weight, clothes, eye colour, you name it, it goes here. Yes, they can even be a cat.

Personality: Your fighter isn’t an emotionless robot (probably). Tell us what they’re like – their quirks, their desires, their pet hates, and so on.

Equipment: Remember those power points? They start working right about here. Anyway, equipment is what special items a character wields, and what these items do. It should have a special function to go here, and in Appearance if it doesn’t – a ring with a one-use poisoned spike on it would go here, whilst a normal ring would not. Incidentally, the power of an item decides roughly how many points it is worth – said poison ring would be about fifty points, whilst a HiEn Laspistol Mk.V would be substantially more. If you think you can figure out a fair level of power for any equipment you own, good for you; if you don’t, make your initial power limit greater than necessary, and we’ll alter it downwards afterwards.

Abilities: Special powers your character wields. That is to say, their abilities, or their non-superficial mutations, or whatever. As a rule, one ability requires 250 power points; however, multipurpose abilities – that is, abilities with more than one basic function, said basics being things such as “creation/command of fire” – will need to have their individual functions listed, with additional points being added for each function past one, whilst more powerful single-use abilities may cost more than the usual ones, with any abilities that might cost more than 350 points being disallowed entirely. Also, many physical abnormalities, such as claws or horns or arm spikes, may be worth more in the equipment section than in here, simply due to their nature.

Other: Anything else you want us to know about? Say, a fighter’s backstory, or some additional info that doesn’t fit in any of the other fields? Tell us here.

I’m here to explain the challenge form. Can’t have a challenge without a challenge form.

Power Limits: This is basically who can fight whom in a match. This is more important than you’d think, actually – certain arenas may be locked or unlocked based upon what the power limits are. Pay attention.

Teams: Two-plus teams of fighters, or just have a Free-For-All. Your decision; however, a challenge with a great number of one-fighter teams may be better off as an FFA.

Players: The challenged fighters, basically. If there are teams, do say which team each fighter is on.

Damage Rules: Now we’re getting to the good stuff. This basically decides how much damage a fighter can take, and/or how fancy a fight is likely to be – we have several settings for them, as shown below.
Annihilus: In short, Dragonball Z-style battles, where everyone’s skin is made of titanium – massive energy beams, planet-shaking punches to the groin, multiple spikes through the face; all of these are likely to do little more than scratch your opponent. To finish them off, you need to enact a truly terrifying attack against them. The kind that no being could survive, you know… atomisation, and the like. Rarely is it possible for beings below a certain power level to enact such attacks; therefore, this fight style is available only to beings of 1500 power and above.
Epic Combat: Fighters are basically low-level Terminators, in that they’re tough, but not virtually invincible. They don’t really need basics such as food or sleep, and removed limbs and such will rarely do more than hinder a fighter’s ability to wield equipment… or, you know, move. Anyway, extreme damage, such as being sliced in half, will kill a guy, but for the most part, damage is HP-based – hit a fighter with a bat enough times, and he’ll eventually go down.
Vidyah: The kind of system you’d see in a video game – fall damage occurs, being shot or stabbed deals a good amount of damage, loss of limbs will cause you to bleed out after a few minutes, obviously lethal injuries are instantly fatal. On the upside, who doesn’t love a good video game?
Real-Plus: A more realistic game style, in that even a single moderate-damage hit is liable to cause death in less than a minute or so. Also, you can suffer from shock in this game type – beings that are not battle-hardened will likely fall unconscious when shot at or violently stabbed, and a great amount of shock can even kill by itself. Powerful creatures tend to ignore many of these, however; therefore, it is not available to beings with more than 2500 power.
Instagib: If you like one-stroke battles like those used by samurai, go here – most any attack will kill in a single hit if not properly defended against. Medium styles not recommended here, unless you’re the Kid.

Parse Rules: In case you didn’t get the memo, we control the reality of who does what to who. However, you can decide when we are to do it, in a good number of styles.
ASAP: As soon as we notice that someone’s posted, we’ll get right to working out what’s happened. However, the guy who actually does that stuff is sixteen or something, so he may or may not be at his college for fifteen freaking hours a weekday. ಠ_ಠ
ASAP+Pause: See above, but you can ask for a pause in the fighting to have a tea break, or cereal, or to GO TO BED
Turn-Based: Fighters take turns throwing single attacks at each other, in order of relative quickness, which we then parse for you. SINGLE attacks, mind. No “ultra-flurries of death”, unless that’s one of your abilities.
Simultaen: Everyone does everything at the same time. Assuming someone doesn’t screw up and forget they’re in a fight, in which case they get blasted very quickly indeed.

Arena: This is where it gets fun. See, YOU get to create most of the arenas. We have a stock set, but really, that’s kind of boring after a while. Now with an arena form in the main section, all sections of which are self-explanatory; fill that in, and we’ll add your arena to the list below.

In terms of power: you should list your own, but if you aren’t confident that you can accurately define it without overstepping the power of one’s equipment, give a wider margin for it, and I can make it more accurate for you.

Flag Post

Name: Captain Bloodflag.

Power: 2650

Appearance: A Vampire, Werewolf, Zombie Pirate. No eyes to colour, pirate outfit. Bloodflag is skinny (The flesh is a bit iffy.)

Personality: He likes to kill people, drink thier blood then eat thier brains. You can fill in the gaps.

Equipment: Cutlass of Mass Murder: A sabre that slashes from a distance, cutting shallow wounds that bleed quick, and still acts as a normal cutlass at close quarters.
Steel Plates of Bloodletting: A plate armour that shoots out spikes when muscles are tensed. During weapin swings or just tensing the whole body a flurry of spines shoot out of the metal, impaling everything nearby.
Big pistol: It’s no ordinary pistol. It’s like the size of him and shoots equally big bullets, in a big arc. That’s why it’s called big. The reason it’s special is he leaves it on his ship and has to summon it.

Abilities: Blood drinker: Shoots a fang from his palm followed by a glowing red trail, if the fang strikes a foe he can drain thier life force through it.
Extreme Regeneration: His zombie/werewolf/vampire genes kick in to regenerate wounds, especially when he has recently drunk blood or eaten brains.
Killer Blow: Captain Bloodflag finishes a wounded opponent early, dealing a large amount of damage with his werewolf strength.
Diamond skin: We saw it first in twilight, now everyone knows vampires sparkle. Serves no actual benefit, but he is pretty shiny. This means no sun damage mmmkay?
Mind Control: Everyone knows vampires can control thier bite victims. Yes they can use thier will to deny it but it still slows them down. But if they aren’t quick then they might as well be dead.
Spread wings: Bloodflag can sprout batlike wings and fly around like zoooom.
Lycanthropy: Bloodflag can become a zombie pirate vampire wolf at will. He retains his other abilities but he is faster and his strength is slightly lower. He can’t wield weapons but his Cutlass of mass murder which he holds in his mouth.
Deathgrip: A chain of dark mist flies out, grappling target. Can be used to throw them about or yank them towards Bloodflag.
Shadowform: Can briefly become a dark mist, or sink into the shadows. Bloodflag can not sustain Shadowform for long but can be used for a quick dodge or jaunt of invisibility.

Other: At first he was a pirate, who got bitten by a werewolf.
200 years later he was bitten by a vampire and his werewolf vitality helped him resist just dying.
He was actually killed once by silver stake through the heart, garlic in the mouth, head chopped off and crosses through the eyes. But he became the first vampire to also become a zombie. How lucky!
