17 Sammy
13 Shakul
5 ???
5 Jon
Go Go Go, do whatever, but it’s initiative order.
I’ve already described the positions, I would draw up a map but formatting decided that it doesn’t want to let me.

Draw light-sword, charge the nearest thing I can hit and hit it.

Sammy turns on Shakul and smacks him with the light sword.
(Are you quite sure you want this?)

(I don’t think you quite understand. There is nothing discernably threatening, after all, you don’t see any enemies, for that matter, neither does Jon.)
However, there is a reason I have set up initiative. If you want to take 20 on spot by looking hard at what Jon warned you about, you can do that. I don’t know, how would sammy act in the situation, just carrying onwards towards the castle if that’s what you think he would have done.

((Oh, okay. My bad then.))
((I’ll take that 20 on the spot check, and I’d guess that takes my entire turn.))
Sammy
The others look up for some unknown reason, so I look up as well, and try to discern what they’re looking at through the darkness.
[EDIT] ((After Spot Check))
`I think the tree might be alive.`

Shakul Spiteclaw
I look up, trying to see if I can see anything and to see what Sammy means by the tree.
Edit: (Take 20 on Listen Check.)

(didn’t see a new post so I didn’t know you had edited.)
Well, you hear what are essentially the aggressive snapping and crashing of leaves, twigs, branches. The occasional clunk of one bloody corpse hitting another.
Suddenly, a crash of vines envelops devourer, trying to restrict him (opposed grapple check.)
Shakul manages to expertly duck underneath and roll away from the vines, slashing them with his dagger. They disappear overhead.

D&D needs players, and if players drop it, then the game is unplayable; it being a team game. It’s probably not practical to try and bring it to such a fickle community. I don’t feel like subbing in NPC characters to balance the game for two characters, there’s no point.
Well, I think I’ll be the second DM after Yiu to stop their game, since Catface went, the other two games had to die. Now this one died of it’s own accord.
Unfortunately, I’m going to have to close this game. Catface can choose whether he wants to close the rest of D&D or to try and get it going again, if he wishes to continue with his campaign I will continue playing it.
