Night 5

I don’t have a list for these, but if I remember correctly, Vara framed Mystery, racefan tried to kill myhome and because it was an odd night, myhome was out of town, so that caused the first night without kills. coolo blocked Mystery.

Night 6

Vara framed Ninja and coolo blocked Samster. Kidude who turned into the mafia’s killer didn’t PM me anything, so no kill.

Night 7

Vara turned into the mafia killer and tried to kill gamin, but coolo blocked her. gamin used his second investigation on Vara.

Night 8

If night 8 had existed, only Vara, coolo and Ninja would’ve been online. coolo would’ve blocked Ninja (as the alphabetical list was finished the night before, he would’ve blocked the first person in the list that isn’t himself) and thus the only way the town could’ve survived would’ve been Vara missing the sending of the nightkill. I decided that it would’ve been far too unlikely and anyways I believe she would’ve PMed me.

Best of the Bunch, a flash gaming competition.

Ytivitca III, a sequel to my CYOR (Choose Your Own Role) mafias.

Can you roughly tell us(me) when you expect to release those games :D?

In about two weeks. I’m taking a little break from hosting FGs.

This was fun, even though I died on day 2.

[I facepalm’d so hard when Vara won. First, she lurked which was at odds with her normal behaviour. True, she gave an excuse, but this does not necessarily mean she was not Mafia. The fact she showed up in time to defend herself meant she practically admitted to active lurking.]

[Second, you’ll notice Faceran defended her, and he was a blatantly obvious Mafioso. (And then he died, revealing his role.) D1, he used the kills as an argument for lynching. Later, he conveniently forgot all about the swathes of kills because it wasn’t interfering with lynching.]

[Third, there was the small radio clue.]

[Fourth, you’ll notice that Vara voted simply for survival earlier on. She outright stated that she was voting for an innocent simply because of the ‘vote or die’ rule. That should never happen, especially when the Town is in such a precarious situation.]

[Fifth, Vara didn’t actually try to be coolheaded and argue with Gaming. She simply mocked him. That’s probably because he had solid evidence against her, and she felt she had to do something to convince people he was wrong, rather than simply denying it. I didn’t notice this before, and it’s pretty much just speculation, though.]

[Sixth… Well, look at this.]

(Also, you claim having a two-shot role, but you would still use a shot at somebody of whom you could barely find any scumtell at all, the single scumtell you found even being invalid? Tsk.)

[This screams scum to me. I’m not really sure why, but I think it’s because she seems to be lording over the lack of scumtells she left. ‘I should have left scumtells, but you only found one that was invalid.’ There’s also the fact that she knows fine well that she’s hard to read, meaning that if anything, the investigate should have been used earlier. If scumtells can be found, then there’s no reason to waste an investigate.]

[Lastly, her argument for Gaminguru’s role not being what he claimed makes no sense to me.]

“Hmmm… I should think of some variant of a cop to defeat her argument. I could go with a role cop, but that is so close to a common cop… Ah! I know it, I’ll make it two-shot! It’s balanced and they’ll probably buy that!” ~What probably went through gaminguru’s mind

[I don’t get what logic this is following. It seems illogical to me that he would needlessly complicate his role like that, if he was lying.]

Bluji adding a shot limit to a cop, where it’s not imposed on other cops or even the jailkeeper (Jimbo14, investigate&roleblock combined into a single action), is entirely in violation with the consistency found in the currently known roles. I don’t imagine your so-claimed role existing.

[If certain roles are as powerful as that, then why would others need to be as powerful? Surely that’d make victory easy for the Town. Roles need not be balanced. I can’t imagine what consistency Vara could be talking about.]

[Really, Vara might as well swung a flaming beacon up in the air, marked ‘I am Mafia!’. But noooooooo, Reaper had to kill me.]

Vara is incredible. Every accusation, she has an answer. Every time it looks like she’s painted into a box, she finds a way out. I’m just glad I was on her side—because if I wasn’t, I wouldn’t have won.

Congrats to Bluji for another great game, full of twists and unpredictability. Congrats to the players who brought the game all the way down to the wire and made this game quite possibly the most active and in-depth game I’ve seen on Kong.

In the end, I wish I had been able to be more active, but I’m still glad that I was able to participate as much as I could.

Once again, my quest to become an intelligent and skilled mafia player is delayed by my inherent retardation. Perhaps one day, I will finally achieve my goal. But not today friends, not today… </mournfulness>
I’m currently playing amazingly bad, picking up scumtells where there aren’t any and not seeing those that are there. Hopefully I’ll get better at mafias soon. My ineptitude is beginning to irritate me.

Mod Notes

Yeah… This is my own section where I can tell you what I rofled on. First, night 1 in its majority. racefan would have blocked everyone targeting him (due to ascetic), but tttttt’s ward powers started working before the role modifier activated and that made every action targeting race to instead target S_98! In addition, Sninetiane would have made himself talk Finnish instead of racefan talking Finnish, but he died before he got to use his action.

Also, the whole cult got terminated on night 1. I would’ve really wanted to see what would’ve happened if the cult had survived to, let’s say, day 5. That could’ve messed up your game really bad because you would’ve gotten Role / Cultists on half the lynches.

Then, night 4. The night reaper got killed. He happened to possess all three role modifiers that night and I decided to be fair and give them all to his killer, racefan.

Night 5. The first night without a nightkill. I had already written and even posted (facepalm) the ‘day 6 begins’ post, and racefan decides to PM me two minutes, yes two minutes before the deadline to try and kill myhome, who happened to be out of town. Tough luck.

Night 7. Vara tried to kill gamin only to be blocked by coolo. Oh lawl, third kill-less night in a row.

And in the end, gamin, you would have had the proof for your role in the first page. Look.

Informative roles ~ 3 to 4

There were three to four informative roles and only two had been killed by day 8. This means gamin could’ve just been a real role cop. But no, Ninja decided to take Vara’s bait and vote for gamin, causing the town to lose. (No, I’m not saying that Ninja caused the loss, but if he had actually checked the information already available, this would have confirmed gamin’s role.)

I definitely enjoyed reading over it, but I kinda hate myself for not dropping out after my computer took a dump on me.

If I remember correctly, that night 4 kill of reaper was also pretty late—once I found out I got all the role modifiers, I figured it might have been better if I didn’t kill him at all, but it worked out in the end.

But yeah, when you have about a fifth of the free time that you’re used to, you do crazy things like beat deadlines by two minutes.

So, as an outsider, I think I’ll say some words on this. I was reading this since day 5, and must say that I was really, really sad that I didn’t participate. I liked this mafia. I hope that I can sign on Bluji’s next game. :)
