FAW: The Academy.

Matt walked along the blood covered floor, gathering his team in awe.
“Nice one, guys!” Matt said, grinning at his team. The Master lay dead on the floor. Shadow Core looked at us in fear. Matt raised a glowing spear in his hand, and threw it at Shadow Core. He shouted, pinned to the rock he lay on by some nails. The spear was aimed for his right eye, but he absorbed it and teleported.
“Aww come on, you do this every time!” Matt yells to the sky, annoyed that he had escaped once again.
Turning away, he looks at the team. They had grown since he last saw them. Unfortunately, that didn’t benefit them.
“I reckon you need to take a break. Don’t worry, I have a plan!” Matt grins, and claps his hand, teleporting them all as they came into contact.

Two Months Later
Faestus stood outside the academy, Acid and Ace stood right beside him. He opened the door and strode in.
“Matt! We have some new students!” He called towards the stairs. Matt materialised behind them, spooking Acid and Ace.
“Welcome, to the Academy! This place is for special people, but not special as in mentally retarded… I hope you like your stay!”

Matt dematerialised away and appeared in a room. He sent messages to all the new students he had found, saying:
“We know about you. We know your ‘thing’. Come to the abandoned Mansion at midnight. You’ll find it changed, and not abandoned anymore. Good luck finding your way!”

And, before he knew it, people were turning up early.

Welcome to FAW: The Academy! Brief description, I know, but when have I been truly honest to you all. So, this is a spin-off series of FAW, a FG where a couple of people with super powers save the world. So, sign up!

RULES:
1. God-modding is not allowed. Your power will be analysed.
2. Whatever the Almighty Squid says goes. He will be in the actual game, and will appear and- brutally murder you- remind you that god modding is not allowed when you use it.
3. Don’t offend people.
4. Follow the Kongregate rules at all times.
5. Thanks for your time, put “I Worship the Almighty Squid” in the Secret Code section.
6. During the game, you will be given some secret codes, which you can redeem for power upgrades.
7. You start off with a basic power that is extremely weak. And what do Academies do? They train you. And give you secret codes.

Name: Bruce Paisley

Age: 23.

Appearance: Long blonde hair, Blue eyes, Average height, stomach acids are off-color.

Brief History: A surfer originally from California. Bruce suffered an injury in his right kneecap from a nasty fall onto some rocks at the beach, which prevented him from ever surfing again. Instead, he moved to [Insert town name here] to seek a quiet and less physically exhilarating life.
While there, he spent much of his time looking for a new hobby, and had an accident. He was trying out carpentry, when a rogue sawblade broke off the device and flew straight at his face. As a reflex, he grabbed the nearest thing, a hammer handle, and swung at the incoming object. He missed, but the saw barely damaged his face, since his whole body became wood.

Basic Power: Randomised absorption. He can, by touch, absorb a random quality from anything, and gain that quality for twenty minutes. That quality can be anything: Strength, matter, heat conductivity, life, imagination, sexual interest, magical abilities. Although the effect wears off for Bruce, the object absorbed loses the quality forever. Sometimes he can get the strength of a rock, sometimes the intelligence of one.

[To clarify: He can activate the ability on will, but the effect of it is randomized.]

Name: Eric Black*
Age: 26
Appearance: Slightly taller than average with dark brown, scruffy hair and green eyes. Usually wears a blue t-shirt and matching coloured jeans.
Brief History: Born in London to a slightly wealthy family, he was about average in school, and moved to America when he was 18. He was in the army for a year, but never saw active service. He left the army at 20 and drifted from one job to the other, never settling on any one job, but making enough money to be able to afford this kind of life. One day when he was 24, while working as a checkout assisstant, he got annoyed at a customer and, out of anger, hit them. They flew backwards over the next checkout and landed with a crunch. He quit the job.
Basic Power: Enhanced strength, like the example above.
Secret Code: I worship the Almighty Squid.

Name: Jhon (My name for all things)
Age: 21
Appearance: Tall, brown hair/eyes, Average build and wearing a Liverpool FC top and basic tracksuit trousers.
Brief History: I was born in June. My dad died when I was 5. I developed my skill at the age of 7. Apart from that my life has been a dismal. And now here I am.
Basic Power: Basic shape-shifting. Into to things like signs and lampposts.

Name: Lazarus
Age: 14
Appearance: tall, jet black hair with piercing green eyes. has a scar above left eye; puncture wounds.
Brief History: Lazarus was born in a magic free community, so everyone was shocked when they learned he had magic. He had to leave after death threats were made. By odd luck, the people who threatened him were struck by bad luck, everyone who sent death threats died horribly of a noncontagious plague. His magic lies in trickery, shadow and death magic, though his power is not very focused. He has a small shadow beast, (technically a blob) that appeared when he was 12 and never leaves. Its his best friend in his troubled times. the scar above his eyes was earned after being bitten by a snake. a python.
Basic Power: Shadow. (The ability to manipulate shadows and create tricks. These include moving shadows to create images, to blind people by smothering them in shadow and making shadows solid. For some odd reason, a strange shadow beast accompanies him, and it has no attack power apart from just looking weird. it answers to Seth.As Lazarus gets stronger, so will Seth.)

Basic Power: Shadow. (The ability to manipulate shadows and create tricks. For some odd reason, a strange shadow beast accompanies him, and it has no attack power apart from just looking weird. it answers to Seth.)

Squid said your powers would be analysed, and your current power is probably too unspecific. You’d better snag in all abilities and actions you want into the description of the Power [Making shadows solid, melting into shadows etc.] Before Squid goes over it and defines the power himself.

Hey, basic shape-shifting is great. Jacob and Lletya could train him in specifics. And signs and Lampposts are more useful than you’d think.

Name: Marth Valos

Age: 12

Appearance: I’ll start from the top. His hair reaches down to his shoulders, and is black with a thin white streak down the middle. His eyes are completely black from a birth defect. His skin is very pale, and it is blemish-free. He wears a black T-shirt with a skull in the middle, and jeans. He also wears black running shoes. He’s about 4’10", and he weighs somewhere around 110 pounds. He has a large number of scars placed precariously around his body.

Brief History: After being abused by his father for many years, he eventually killed him with an outburst of his power, which he discovered at a young age. He made the death look like it came from a knife, then he turned himself in. He was taken in by the nearby orphanage, but he escaped shortly after, and has been living on his own recently.

Basic Power:

- Hellfire: Marth has minor control over a black flame know as Hellfire. It burns what it touches without reserve, though it doesn’t seem to give off any heat. Marth can produce large amounts of it, though he isn’t very good at directing it. He can also solidify it to make weapons and the like that burn through things, but he is pretty bad at it.

I asked that earlier, squid hasn’t responded. I actually suggested this in the previous ideas thread for this game.

I for one welcome our squid overlords.
Also, object-shifting is the best kind of shape-shifting. No one ever suspects the table lamp did it.

Name: S. Oswald Stevenson
Age: 20
Appearance: Short and stocky, with buzzed short brown hair. Wears a grey T-shirt with a stylized `G` on the front, and jeans.
Brief History: Oz here failed out of college, and as such was kicked out of his home. He’s currently living with a friend in [insert town name]. He’s not very happy about this situation.
Basic Power: Gummy body, able to consciously stretch it. Think Mr Incredible, or Luffy without his bulletproofing.

Name: James Darton
Age: 37
Appearance: 5’9. Has medium dark blonde hair. Fair complexion and blue eyes. Some minor battle scars from his travels.
Brief History: Born into war. Signed up at a young age, becoming an impressive tactician and fighter. Got enlisted into FAW at the very beginning, fighting against all sorts of foes. He decided to drop along at the newly formed Academy, watching proceedings. Helping out where ever he can.
Basic Power: Extreme intelligence and tactical knowledge. What he lacks in speed and strength he makes up for with quick thinking and bright ideas.

Using FAW threads for solitary monologues isn’t really Role-Playing properly.

plus most times i have done that because of bc and minnakht posting page of text walls any time i left
