The basics
Basicly, this is a game. A game about Pokemon. Pokemon is a really popular series of games that has spawned a tcg, a manga, and an anime. It currently has 5 regions and a whole lot of idividual species of Pokemon but I forget the exact number. So, you can choose to be either a trainer or a Pokemon in this game.
Slight details
This game takes place a sufficient amount of time after the main series of games that all the gym leaders and champions and rivals and players are dead. Because I don’t feel like I could decide what they’d do while sticking to any of their personalities. And that I would then be easier to just think of my own gym leaders.
Mechanics
Don’t worry about this. I’ll take care of everything. I’m to lazy to find, let alone follow, most of the formulas and algorythms used in the games, so I just made my own up.
Also, I made it so that when a POkeball is thrown at a Pokemon, instead of auto-catching or auto-not catching, the formual will decide wether the Pokemo or the trainer decides whether it shall be caught. (Note: NPC trainers will always choose to catch, and NPC Pokemon will always choose not to be caught) However, in the case of a Critical capture it would work like if the people were NPCs.
Talking Pokemon
In the game, there would be two ways for Pokemon to talk. The first way is, well, talking, like Meowth from the anime. The other way is telepathy. Also, there are some humans that can understand the Pokemon language.
Talking
This is the least complicated way, but not the easiest. Unless you’re a Chatot or Ditto, this will take a whole lot of training to happen.
Telepathy
Telepathy is easier than learning how to speak, but is more complicated and not availabel to every Pokemon. For instance, you would need to have strong aural or psychic power. Though telepathy also requires training to use effectively, it does not require as much.
To signify that you read all this, put “I like pi,” after your signs.

Sign-up form thingies
There are two different kinds of sign-ups; one for trainers, and one for Pokemon.

Trainer Sign-ups
Welcome to the world of Pokemon! This world is inhabited far and wide by creatures called Pokemon! Your own very Pokemon legend is about to unfold! A world of dreams and adventures with Pokemon awaits! But first, tell me a little about yourself.

Name: Let’s begin with your name. What is it?
Gender: Are you a boy? Or are you a girl?
Age: You’re never too young or old to become a Pokemon trainer! …Except for when you are. Plase, make this reasonable.
Starting/Home town: What town do you live in or start the game in?
First Pokemon: Please tell me what kind of Pokemon it was, whether you caught it or received it from a Professor, its nickname if it has one, and its gender.
Current Pokemon: What Pokemon are currently in your party? Inclue name/nicname, species, level, gender, and items held. This is near the start of your adventure, so you should have no more than three.
Badges: This is near the start of your adventure, so you shouldn’t start with any.
Bag: What items are in your bag? You should start with a potion and 5 Pokeballs. Though a few extra items are allowed.
Notes: Anything else of interest you would like to share?

Pokemon Sign-ups
You can be a Pokemon if you want! You can start out wild or trained.
Name: If you’re wild, this should be the same as your species.
Species: What kind of POkemon are you? For now, only Pokemon who are unevolved or where unevolved when they debuted. Exceptions: Magmar, Electabuzz, or Jynx aren’t allowed because the evolve from their baby forms by level, you can start as any form in one of the early three stage bug lines (Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Venipede), no legendaries are allowed.
Level: What level are you? I need to know so I can give you new moves and you can evolve.
Moves: What moves do you know? You can have as many moves as you like, as long as they are legitimate, as in, your Pokemon can know them by that level.
Ability: What is your abilitiy? Each Pokemon species has a range of up to three (primary, secondary, and hidden) abilities. Optional.
Trainer: What is the name of your trainer? Alternatively, you can say that you’re wild if you are.
Notes: Again, anything else that might be interesting?

To signify that you read through this, please put “pi is my favorite number.” into your signups.

People playing:
Trainers
Me(DreamDragon):

Name: Seth Pine
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Starting/Home town: Littleroot Town.
First Pokemon: Riolu(Caught near Twinleaf Town, male, shiny)
Current Pokemon:
Riolu (Male, Level 15, No items held, Shiny)
Torchic (Male, Level 7, No items held)
Badges: None.
Bag: A potion, 5 Pokeballs, and a Dawn Stone.
Notes: Seth is originally from Sinnoh, but moved to Littleroot Town when his father became the new Pokemon Professor of the Hoenn region.

Wolverine:

Name:
Soren Taebur IV
Gender:
Male
Age:
16
Hometown:
Lilycove City
First Pokemon:
Bubbles the Marill (Female, caught in the Safari Zone)
Current Pokemon:
Bubbles the Marill (Lv. 11, Female, holding nothing)
Sushi the Mudkip (Lv. 8, Male, holding an Oran Berry)
Badges:
None
Bag:
Potion (1)
Pokeball (5)
Notes:
Soren was born in Lilycove City to Soren Taebur III, an administrator within Team Aqua and well-respected besides that among the citizens of Lilycove. His mother was less prominent, but as secretary to the governor of Lilycove, she did help to raise Soren with a fairy strong sense of history and current events alike, especially as politics were concerned. His father’s heavy influence has resulted in the capture of two water-type Pokemon, which are fairly useful in their own right; however, recognizing that his son was suffering some loneliness at home and also realizing that he would need more than just water-type Pokemon to succeed if he were to leave home, Soren III has begun to encourage his son to vary his roster somewhat, though the boy has already become quite attached to Bubbles and Sushi.

SilentSam:

Name: Tom Vern
Gender: Boy
Age: 1
Starting/Home town: Slateport City
First Pokemon: Jilly, the female Tentacool. Caught so that Tom’s parents would be okay with Tom swimming out to the islands
Current Pokemon: Jilly (Tentacool, 14, Female, none), Ed (Wingull, 10, Male, none), Jakob (Poochyena, 12, Male, none)
Badges: n/a
Bag: Potion, 5 pokeballs, Soda Pop x2
Notes:
Tom is the middle child of his family, with an older and younger brother. His father works one of the stalls on the beach of Route 109, and more often than not the family would spend the day there as well, Tom and his brothers spending the day swimming, helping at the stall, or battling other trainers on the beach.
With his brothers able to help with the stall, Tom has gotten permission to head out on his pokemon adventure, and is currently en route to talk to the Pokemon professor in Littleroot. Because talking to the Pokemon professor is good plan.
Tom’s a strong swimmer, and can cross areas of water with relative ease. He can’t swim through rapids though, and he certainly can’t swim up a waterfall.
He usually wears a light T-shirt and swim trunks, never wears a speedo. Weirdo.

Nimbus:

Name: Joshua Johnson
Gender: Male
Age: 13
Starting/Home town: Lilycove City
First Pokemon: Jonathan the Duskull (Male, caught in Route 121)
Current Pokemon:
Jonathan the Duskull (Lv. 12, Male, holding Spell Tag)
Jessica the Ralts (Lv. 8, Female, shiny, holding nothing)
Badges: N/A
Bag:
Potion
Pokeballx5
Notes: Joshua was born in Lilycove City, and grew up there. He caught Jonathan only a few months ago on a midnight walk, accidentally (but he’d never admit that) when he got scared and started throwing everything he had at him. He threw a Pokeball and, unbelievably, it stuck. Only three weeks ago, when his father took him with him on a business trip to Rustboro City, they stopped in Petalburg, and there, Joshua caught a Ralts. He has trained them both a little bit, but he cannot do much of anything, as his mother deemed pokémon battles ‘too dangerous’ and ‘a waste of time’. He has never been really deterrred, however, and often sneaks out at night to train. He is now to begin his adventure.

Tracymirkin

Name: Brandi Maddor
Gender: Female
Age: 12
Home Town: Mossdeep City
First Pokemon: The first pokemon Brandi had was an Abra, given to her by her sisters, the gym leaders of the Mossdeep gym. It is a girl. She also recived the Natu minutes after, as Abras aren’t good at training on their own.
Current Pokemon:
Abra – (Synthesia; Abra; 14; female; holding EXP Share; it is Shiny)
Natu – (Null; Natu; 13; male; Twistedspoon)
Spoink – (Comical; Spoink; 7; male; nothing)
Badges: None; her sisters wanted her to beat them like everyone else.
Bag: Potion; 4 Pokeballs; 1 Awakening
Notes: Raised by her sisters, Brandi is a dreary, feelingless girl who focuses on Pokemon of the more etheral elements; such as Ghost, Dark, and Psychic. She is somewhat grateful to her sisters for their help, but she still wishes to beat them, not for the sake of having a name for herself, but so she’ll be remembered in history forever.

Minn:

Name: Lucy
Gender: A girl
Age: Teen-ish. Late teens. Seventeen, plus minus two years. Something about that.
Starting/Home town: Verdanturf
First Pokemon: Lucy’s first Pokemon was an Aron. It was neither caught nor received from a Professor. Instead, one day, Lucy was near Mauville, near the Day-Care building – and there she saw a trainer talking to the man running that place. She overheard the conversation – apparently, there was an egg which they found on the trainer’s Pokemon, but he didn’t want to keep it. Lucy barged in and asked if she couldn’t take care of it, and both sides agreed.
Aron is male.
Current Pokemon:
A male Aron named Auron (lvl 14)
A Bronzor named Horologium (lvl 7)
A female Skarmory named Freya (lvl 5)
Badges: Non
Bag: Potion, 5 Pokeballs, 2 Chesto Berries, 2 Wepear Berries, 2 Nanab Berries
Notes: Lucy’s Pokemon are all rejected Day-Care eggs. She’s giving them a chance as much as she can, like a foster parent. And she’s not trying to be a Steel-type specialist, it’s just a coincidence. Lucy decided to go out and adventure, considering there is only so much she can do when raising Pokemon – and why not? It’s a nice thing to do as a child.

Antonn:

Name: Ryan Adams
Gender: M
Age: 13
Starting/Home town: Dewford
First Pokemon: A male Totodile nicknamed “Bob”. Given as a gift from brother, another boy aspiring to become a champion.
Current Pokemon: Totodile “Bob” (Level 16)
Badges: None
Bag: Potion, 5 pokeballs
Notes: Has a brother who “aims to be the very best”; doesn’t like capturing pokemon and keeping them in a pokeball, so he lets Bob walk next to him. He never tried catching a pokemon yet, and doesn’t ever plan to.

Pokemon
Me(DreamsDragon):

Name: Riolu
Species: Riolu
Level: Fifteen
Moves: Blaze Kick, Hi Jump Kick, Sky Uppercut, Brick Break, Facade, Low Sweep, Focus Blast, Quick Attack, Foresight, Endure, Counter, Force Palm, and Feint.
Ability: Inner Focus.
Trainer: Seth Pine.
Notes: He’s shiny, and his father was a Blaziken. All moves before Quick Attack are egg moves.

Doom:

Name: Shrow
Species: Cyndaquil (If incorrect spelling, someone please remind me of the proper version so I can edit.)
Level: 12
Moves: Tackle, Ember, Leer, and Smokescreen. (Please correct me on the point if Cyndaquil has growl or not…Need a move list for the little guy sometime…)
Trainer: Wild
Notes: Shrow was, obviously, not always a wild pokemon. Once he had a trainer, who cared mostly for pokemon who started out strong. Shrow was only trained for a short while before being released, which has made him a bit untrusting of trainers.

Captain_Catface:

Name: Voltorb
Species: Voltorb
Level: 12
Moves: Charge, Tackle, Sonic Boom, Spark.
Trainer: Wild.
Notes: Voltorb.

Knoob:

Name: Beldum.
Species: Beldum. (Shiny)
Level: Fifteen.
Moves: TAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE DOWN.
Trainer: N/A. (Because wild.)
Notes: Oh, I’unno. We’ll say that Beldum is Sinnoh-native (because xe is) and was in a swarm. Said swarm decided to visit Hoenn, and presumably something happened to our Beldum friend. They usually travel in perfect unison, communicating with magnetic waves or something, so it was probably some sort of magnetic pulse. Because somehow, Beldum managed to get separated from the other Beldum. Presumably, it somehow managed to erase their memories about Beldum or they blatantly didn’t care enough to look for Beldum, because that’s what happened. At least, this is what I guess happened, because Sinnoh-native Beldum don’t just end up in Hoenn, y’know. Don’t ask me! I’unno!

ROFL_NOOB:

Name: Dratini
Species: Dratini
Level: 10
Moves: Wrap, Leer, Thunder Wave
Trainer: Wild
Notes: Has never seen any pokemon besides other Dratini and a few Dragonair

IE:

Name: Eevee [Although he resents the fact that he’s not allowed to have a name until he is captured, stuck in a small space, and forced to fight during his only period of freedom: and will tell anybody who asks that his name is Chuck.]
Species: Eevee
Level: 8
Moves: Tackle, Sand-Attack
Trainer: None [Eevee hates the thought of being shoved inside of a sphere the size of its foot, and plans to viciously assault any trainer who throws a pokeball at him.]
Notes: Eevee’s goal in life is to evolve, making it a lot more powerful: and by extension, more capable of keeping trainers from throwing pokeballs at it. It has not yet decided what it wants to become though. [Probably a Jolteon, because they’re the most badass out of all of the evolutions.]

AN:

Name: Neutron
Species: Shiny Gible
Level: 20 (hey, it has a very high evolving level requirement!)
Moves: Dragon Rage, Sandstorm, Sand Tomb, Take Down, {Iron Tail, Metal Claw, Iron Head (if you allow the father to be a Aggron)}
Trainer: Someone….
Notes: Neutron is Sinnoh-native, and was born in Wayward cave. He was captured at a rather early level by a trainer named… Well, he can’t really remember who that trainer was. Anyway, he was nicknamed Neutron, and lived a pretty happy life until his trainer decided to trade him for some other pokemon, All he knew about his new trainer was his/her name, and although he did not want to be traded away, he was placed in the trading machine in his pokeball.
Something went wrong during the trading process, though, and the machine exploded, sending the two pokeballs flying out of the window, down the street, into a river, till they both ended up in a far-away cave. When he finally woke up, Neutron was lying in a place he didn’t recognize, surrounded by unfamiliar pokemon on all sides. With a strange pokeball that definitely wasn’t his, and the strange tag at his neck marking him as a traded pokemon (the irony), he began his journey to find his trainer.

BC:

Name: Nincada
Species: Nincada (male)
Level: 13
Moves: Scratch, Harden, Leech Life, Sand Attack, X-Scissor, Bug Bite
Trainer: Wild
Notes: Born into the ownership of a guy who was determined to get more powerful Pokemon, as opposed to Pokemon of any other sort, hence the lack of nickname and somewhat artificial moveset (his father was a Beedrill). Belonging to the guy wasn’t really fun, under the circumstances, so it was almost a relief when the guy tried to trade him for a far more powerful (and supposedly shiny) Gible. However, the machine blew up, causing him to be lost. Awakening in a desert location, he is now determined to be the best Pokemon that acts like a ninja there ever was, in order to avoid a potential horrible fate of some form. He will need to learn a lot more about the world in order to do so. He needs to level up as well, but that’s more of a side task than anything else.

DarkEvilSoul:

Name: Aron
Species: Aron
Level: 7
Moves: Tackle, Harden, Mud-Slap
Trainer: Wild
Notes: Shes very smart and careful.
i like pi, pi is my favorite number

Pokemon character sheet.
Name: Shrow
Species: Cyndaquil (If incorrect spelling, someone please remind me of the proper version so I can edit.)
Level: 12
Moves: Tackle, Ember, leer, and smokescreen
Trainer: Wild
Notes: Shrow was, obviously, not always a wild pokemon. Once he had a trainer, who cared mostly for pokemon who started out strong. Shrow was only trained for a short while before being released, which has made him a bit untrusting of trainers. To other pokemon though, he is very protective and willing to fend off threats. He has a dislike with grass pokemon, they just seem to smug to him. Nothing of much importance beyond that.
I like Pi
Pi is my favourite number.

You would know Tackle, Leer, Smokescreen, and Ember if you were a level 12 Cyndaquil.
Approved!

I find this to be a good place to find move lists and stuff.

Cool bio. :)
Oh, and you will probably meet my character, when and if I make him an actual GMPC and not just a NPC, as he’s in Hoenn. And just like the protagonists of Gen III, he just recently moved there due to his dad getting a job.

First Pokemon: Charlie (Gifted at young age, Male)
Current Pokemon: Growlithe (Growlithe, 15, Male, none)
Badges: n/a
Bag: Potion, 5 pokeballs
Notes:
The Verns have been an adventuring family for generations, with each member given a pokemon at a young age but expected to get at least a couple badges in their life. Tom is the youngest of this latest generation, with his older brother and sister already out and adventuring. He was actually just kicked out of the home, his father claiming that it was “time to get started on the family tradition,” and “that by Tom’s age he had already gotten 2 badges.” Needless to say, Tom is somewhat reluctant to start his adventure, but there’s not much choice he has in the matter.
Pi is Tom’s favorite number, as well as his favorite dessert.

[EDIT: Changed town so that I’m on the same continent as everyone else.]
New Tom is here

Thank you.

That would be cool. Hoenn is a pretty awesome place to be travelling around, and it’s always fun to meet up with other people. Except the ones who sleep with weapons drawn and have “a glint in their eye” and such.

I’ve been hoping for a remake too. I mean, I love the originals, but remakes are awesome. Hopefully with the ability to walk alongside your Pokemon like in SS/HG.

Anyways, Gen III had the coolest Pokemon, barring perhaps a few from Gen II. After that I personally believe that they started running out of ideas.

Ralts are indeed pretty nice, but I’ve never been particularly fond of them. Perhaps because everyone else is.

Also, I have a feeling that Soren is going to have to learn to speak the language of his Pokemon if he ever wants to understand them, because he certainly won’t be teaching them English and isn’t likely to have much aural or psychic ability. In hindsight? They can just not talk. That’s a healthy relationship, that is. Lots of cuddling, no speaking. xp

The remake should be soon because no recent DS’s have GBA compatability, and I know, right, freaking cactus scarecrow all up and killing everything at night. Josh will talk to his Pokémanz through Ralts because psychic powers. I also like the Ralts line becuase they learn Psychic at level 30.

I’ll try pokemon,
Name: trapinch
species: Trapinch
Level: 17 (random number)
Moves: whatever appropiate.
Trainer: none, wild
Notes: extremely vicious against trainers, he will watch them carefully. He waits for someone strong enough to catch him.
I like pi and pi is my favourite number

Exceptions: Lucario isn’t allowed even though he is basic because he is too awesome,

[Lucario is an evolved Pokemon. Riolu is its unevolved form.]

Magmar, Electabuzz, or Jynx aren’t allowed because the evolve from their baby forms by level,

[These are evolved Pokemon anyway. If you mean their baby forms are not allowed, you mean Magby, Elekid and Smoochum.]

no legendaries are allowed.

[Lol I wan Drakrai OLOLOLOLOLOLOLO]

[Before someone comments on this, yes, that was a joke.]

What moves do you know? You can have as many moves as you like, as long as they are legitimate, as in, your Pokemon can know them by that level.

[BUT WHAT IF TECHNICAL MACHINE]

pi is most certainly not my favorite number. I don’t even know exactly what number it is.

[It is a letter in that Greek Alphabet thing with Alpha and Omega. I think it might be an Ancient Greek Alphabet. It is also a number with infinite digits, but it is commonly abbreviated to 3.14, and is used in working with circles.]

Hoenn is a pretty awesome place to be travelling around

[Y-Y-YES]

I personally hope that they make a remake of Ruby and Sapphire soon.

[Nintendo has said that this will not occur, fans are hoping for a remake of Emerald.]

Ralts are indeed pretty nice, but I’ve never been particularly fond of them. Perhaps because everyone else is.

[Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalts]

[I have videos on Pokemon Emerald]

[We are currently taking a long hiatus but I hope to start up again soon]

[Also, your title]

[Y u reference Pokemon game titles with your title]

[Also, I hope to maybe sign for this at some point perhaps maybe]

[I’unno]

EDIT:

species: Vibrava (if not allowed, trapinch)

[Er, you fail more. Just because a move is coded in, it does not mean it’s applicable. Plus, he said basic Pokemon, if you really want me to hurrass you.]

basic and babies. What do you get from a vibrava/trapinch/lastform? a trapinch. To conclude my argument…why haven’t you signed, incidentally?

@Wiiwonder: The moves are a little of, Trapinch can’t learn Sonciboom or Tackle at all legitimately, and the only moves they’d learn by leveling up (at that level) are Bite, Sand-Attack, and Faint Attack. Sandtomb and Sandstorm are learned at a higher level. Also, a wild Pokemon’s name is the same as its species, unless it used to be owned by a trainer but was released.
Oh, and Trapinch doesn’t evove via stone.
@Knoob:

[Lucario is an evolved Pokemon. Riolu is its unevolved form.]

Riolu is a baby Pokemon, which mean that Lucario is technically a basic. I never said I idn’t allow evolved POkemon, just that they have to be either baby or basic. So Pikachu would be allowed, even though they evolve from Pichu.

[BUT WHAT IF TECHNICAL MACHINE]

I meant that they can’t learn any moves that they would have to be a higher level to learn. TMs/HMs and Egg moves are allowed because they don’t care aout level.

remake of Emerald.]

I don’t see why they would remake Emerald. When they remade Gen I, only Red and Green, the first two games in the generation, got remade. In Gen II, the same thing happened, only with Gold ad Silver insead of Red and Green.

[Y u reference Pokemon game titles with your title]

Because it’s a Pokemon game.

Because it’s a Pokemon game.

Look, just make the character correct to level and remove name. You should at least give us a correct link for moves. editing sign-up… edited
