He has equal chances as to everyone else (1/10) but he is acting stupidly.

I haven’t actually seen Cowfriend in other Mafias.

I don’t see why a villager would want you to think he is a VI.

I do see why a scum would want you to think he is a VI.

Therefore, it seems to me that it is more likely for CF to be the CB than anybody else at the moment.

I don’t know. I just know that lynching VIs right now means litterally nothing to the town, except getting rid of spam, as the VI will never contribute to the victory.
Therefore, it doesn’t lower the town chances (in my opinion), so I take the 10% chance and VOTE_COWFRIEND

Infinite’s claim above definitely makes me suspicious of Cow. Since I’d rather Cow die than have a 10% chance of getting random-killed myself, I might as well vote Cow.

And I guess I don’t either want to have a 10% chance to get killed myself, but instead get a 10% chance to kill a possible CB (I’m taking this chance, although I said I wouldn’t vote for him, but whatever) and vote CowFriend.

And suddenly, I realized that I haven’t seen any Mafia games where everyone’s vanilla except with a powerful once-per-game ability (Think [Deus/Diabolus] Ex Machina.)
I wonder how such a game would play it. I realize that I could try hosting it, but I don’t know what kind of one-shots everyone would end up getting.

Since last time…

1. AdeebNafees / Thinks my first analysis was too soon. …yeah, I’ll agree with you there; I probably should’ve waited another day first. I’m gonna say townie since I think I missed something important.

2. InfiniteExpanse / Got scared over the possibility of a VI falseclaim… I want to say noob, but if anything, that name would probably fit me better. I suck at this game, but I still enjoy playing it.

3. myhome16 / Ultimately ended up voting CF to get rid of a VI in a NK-free setup. Townie?

4. RaceBandit / Pointed out that massclaiming is USELESS in this game after IE suggested it, mentioned scumhunting, second to falseclaim after IE joked about lying, fully expected Rim to change his RNG vote, CF vote contained an unrelated link (Also, an advisory to wait until the end of the game to click it, but still.), mentioned activity rule in response to bandwagons.

6. devourer359 / First to falseclaim a special ability. This was ignored by everyone except RaceBandit, though.

7. Bluji / Suggested reverse psychology when CowFriend went VI on us, might’ve glossed over my scumhunt attempt when Adeeb said I was town. Wasn’t going to vote for CowFriend, but ultimately decided a CF lynch was better than a random lynch. I’m gonna assume that the gloss was a legitimate mistake.

8. Darkboy5846 / Voted CowFriend for survivalist reasons – Didn’t want to risk randomly dying. TBH this seems like a weak reason to me; anyone who was scum would probably want to vote just to get to the vote requirement and not get modkilled. Vote-hopping might be very suspicious in this game.

9. Knoob85687 / Mentioned that free nights are useless to scum in this game… hell, if anything, nights are anything BUT free, as it could be more time for town to scumtell the Corrupt Bot to death. Townie?

10. REALinsanemonkey / First player to cast a vote, albeit an RNG vote. Unvoted CowFriend momentarily before saying a VI wouldn’t help in this game at all. Townie?

(I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out that I glossed over some really important stuff.)

As I am lost for leads, I think I will revert to one of my older strategies, aka RQS. Everyone should answer this with full cooperation so we can identify scum more easily.

My answers:

1) Quite a bit on this site, and a wee bit in another random site that I used to go to.
2) BST, or GMT+6
3) Yes I have. Devourer, Knoob, IE and Bluji are specially mentionable among them. Devourer is a sneaky scum who can be totally unidentifiable and has relatively fewer scumtells unless you look really hard; Knoob is getting better at concealing his own and I really can’t trust him in any mafia after Ten Little Indians unless he is my scumbuddy, IE is new and unpredictable (and not in the same way as CF) and Bluji because he gave me minor wrong vibes after his previous post. I also reread pretty much everyone else’s posts since it isn’t necessary that one of these guys is scum.
4) Not sure. It would require a hell lot of clever vote avoidance which I am not sure I could pull off (Lunch Lynch is probably good proof of why I fail at being a lone scum). This, and the fact that there isn’t a scumbuddy to come to your aid when the wagon gets rolling on you.
5) I think so. Seems like the obvious thing to do to push the lynch through. It isn’t necessarily so, but with a majority of the players on yesterday’s bandwagon, I’d say it’s likely. That doesn’t mean that I am not counting Knoob in my suspicion list anymore (see 3)
6) Town.
7) The first one was preemptive and useless. The second one is slightly more concise, and saves me the trouble of remembering who did what.
8) Yes. It will give us all a clearer idea about one other’s stances.

1. I’ve played 7P mafia games on jmtb02’s forums… back when he actually had forums. I’ve also played a SC2 Mafia map several times (Not sure if this means anything, but my latest unlock was the Rave God skin.) and I even tried to play some mafia games on xkcd, although I sucked really hard at it (Read: Got nervous and died N1 in one game, then got my cover blown in a Resistance game after sabotaging the second mission.). I’m kinda bad at these, but I don’t mind playing them nonetheless.
2. Not sure what time zone UTC-7 is.
3. Do my analyses count? In the second one, I noticed that I was noting my posts more than anyone else, which AFAIK is stupid.
4. I don’t think I would be good enough to keep my cover that long.
5. TBH, I can’t see why not. If scum doesn’t vote one day, they have to vote the next. AFAIK they could go on the offensive, voting a LOT, or they could go on the defensive, voting only to avoid a modkill.
6. Town. (I already mentioned that everybody and their Clefairy would claim town, including the Corrupt Bot. Hell, IE’s bit about lying was what sparked my codecop falseclaim.)
7. I’m kinda going to agree with Adeeb on the first one being too soon. As for the second one, I think I missed too much.
8. Eh, could get us scumtells.

1) Absolutely none of a serious variety. I’ve played a bit of SC2 mafia about 8-10 months ago and a bit of mafia at a summer-camp a long time ago (which typically replaced flavour text with one of the people in charge yelling about how the mafia released rabid ferrets on whoever died), but those aren’t the same as Forum mafias in that nobody does any actual scum hunting and just leaves everything to the gods of randomness. So basically: absolutely none.
2) CST, don’t know the GMT because I suck at time
3) I figured I may as well not do that at this point because I don’t really know what to look for at this point.
4) Nope. I’m new, first of all, and the CB as no choice but to sit around waiting for lynches and hoping he isn’t the target. Even if the CB was a perfect townie, perhaps by method of not reading his role PM and assuming he is, his chances of victory are abysmally low.
5) Good job Adeeb, you’ve put 5 twice.
5) Yes, the scum would definitely want another player out of the picture while minimizing the risk of his/her own death. (Not to mention that the target was annoying and should have had everybody and their dog voting for them.)
6) Town.
7) The first one didn’t do much, apart from highlighting everything there was to say: which wasn’t much. The second one helped to sum up lots of useful information in an objective manner.
8) Yes, the survey is chock full of bits and pieces that are quite likely to make the Scum drop a few scumtells if they take it. (As far as I can tell, at any rate.)
