Also i want to point out that you dont need to keep troops on your territory to actually own it. It can be empty but then its vulnerable, unless tiles around it are protected.

I second that it would be too hard to not move vertically

Send 1 troop west, 1 east, 1 north, and 1 south.

You can send your troops in any direction but not vertically.

I’ll wait for clarification on this before making my move.
