Hey all, this is DAZ here. It has come to my attention that chat games, especially mafias have become very popular. I thought that it would be good to have more players playing, so I asked adv0 if I could start this. He said yes, and we also asked ZShadow if we could do this. He said we could do it, so here it is. FGF Chat Games Sub-Section.

To participate, please whenever you are online, keep a game open and on the chat tab so we can contact you. I will be PMing players on this list regularly whenever we need players. If you just want to surf the forums or something, I recommend you keep a chatting game such as Just Trolling.

DragonArcherZ POSTS

I have updated the front page and will begin to track wins and records. Whenever a game finishes, please post the winners and also if possible, a pastebin link to show what happened. I’ve also rearranged the front page so it looks neater. Last thing, please go into chat whenever you’re online because currently, only 3-4 players are online at one time usually.

There’s two things happening in these games that has got to stop: 1). People talking at Night and 2). People talking when they’re dead.

I’ve been warning people, even if I’m not the mod, because it’s my room. I’m going to stop warning people soon and just start kicking them. It’d be unacceptable in a forum game, so it’s unacceptable in a chat game.

Chat Games Rules/Information

[Resistance]
Resistance was a game suggested by rawismojo which was heavily modified for chat play. Must have at least 5 players.

[Mafia]
Mafia must have at least 4 players to count as a win.

Mafia Rules

1) When making an official vote, put your vote in [brackets] to make it easier for the host to read.

2) When you are dead, not participating, or just want to say something not relevant to the game, please use (parenthesis).

3) No talking at night.

4) Self-voting isn’t allowed unless specified by the host.

5) If you’re going to be a bastard host, announce that you are going to be a bastard host before the game.

6) If, as host, you don’t want to reveal information, just say you aren’t revealing it. Even if you’re a bastard host, don’t blatantly lie, just be vague.

7) Plurality is by default not in effect. If there is not a majority of votes for one person by the end of the day, the day ends with a no lynch unless the host specifically says that plurality rule is in effect.

8) No private conversations among the players, unless specified in your role PM.

9) As host, should you require dispensing any warnings, you should contact the player by PM. This is to prevent people from confirming their PRs by breaking them once. Should you need to modkill someone, wait till the end of the phase to do so.

10) Screenies are prohibited. However, if someone has privately contacted you (breaking the rules, see 8), you may send a screenie to the host via PM to prove your claim.
