Heroes’ Legend

It’s been a long time since I first joined FGF. I remember my first forum game, A Paladin’s Tale. It used an RPG style battle system, and I wanted to bring it back in style. So here it is. Heroes’ Legend.

Heroes’ Legend is a forum multiplayer PvP and PvE game unlike any other.

This game uses a unique battle system with dozens of weapons and armor, along with countless locations to explore. This will have a large bestiary along with an element of luck, which makes it all the more intense. Good luck, fellow adventurer…

Stats

Your stats make up your character’s strengths and weaknesses. There are 4 stats.

Strength – Increase Min/Max damage by 5 per point.
Endurance – Increase HP by 20 per point.
Intellect – Increase MP by 20 per point.
Agility – Determines turn order, and any extra agility is your percentage of extra turn over an opponent.

There is a thing called Allocation Points [AP]. Allocation Points are stat points which you can put into any of the 4 stats listed above. You may NOT reset your points once you have placed your AP, so choose wisely.

Weapon and Armor will also increase or decrease stats. Your 4 attributes can not go below 0.

Battle System

Battles work like this.
If you have 500 hp, 20 agility and 50-100 damage against an opponent of 200 hp, 5 agility, and 20-50 damage, this is what would happen.

Round 1 begins. Turn 1 would be your move, since you have more agility. You also have a 15% extra turn chance [where you basically get to attack twice]. You would RNG 50-100 damage. Say you got 76. take 76 off 200 hp, and that’s your turn ended.

Spells go in the slot where you would deal damage.

PvP

PvP works like this. PM me who you would like to versus and your strategy [Spam 3x Attack, 1x Stun Strike. If I reach 20% Hp use Heal]. They must be in town [Not in any dungeon] and not already be engaged in a duel. I will PM them giving them 24 hours to give me a strategy. Then I will simulate their duel.

If you have higher honor than your opponent by 50 or more, your opponent has the oppurtunity to decline the challenge.

The PvP ladder will have an honor system in place, where you will gain/lose honor.

You can not go negative in honor.

You start with 100 honor.

Locations

Locations will be a bit like Dungeons. Each location has X amount of room. Once a player has encountered that room, it will be revealed what enemy it is (or percentage of each enemy spawning). After encountering it, the monster appears in the bestiary.

After every battle if you lose, you will get 50% EXP of what you would have gotten had you won the creature [Not the whole dungeon], and lose all the gold you earned in the dungeon. If you win, you get 100% XP and Gold, and have the option to advance or exit the dungeon.

Instances

Instances work like this. There is an extra-powerful monster within it, or a boss. When a player first enters it, a timer starts, depending on what boss it is. You then have X hours for players to register for the battle and post your strategy. [Use curse if enemy uses curse on me, heal if I’m over 50% hp but others on 20%. etc.] Then I will simulate the battle when the timer runs out. Players who register after the timer ends but BEFORE I update will still not be added to the battle.

Instances drop good items and also give a lot of EXP and Gold if boss is defeated.

The deathmaster is a lethal opponent. He corrupts his surroundings, bends nature’s creatures to his will, and curses his opponents. Though he may not have an abundance of health, his spells are mindblowing.

Nah, I didn’t copy. It’s just that I thought about why it closed, which was my lack of motivation after Bluji and AN’s PMs. I tried to force myself to do it but I didn’t want to draw an image.

Then I thought back to 2 years ago, the first time I joined. Sellyme said it was really well organised, so now I’m turning that into a full-scale Forum MMO.


If I had to say one thing I copied, I guess I was inspired by A Paladin’s Tale and Tales Of Legends by Darkboy5846.
