That is what I thought at first, but, like he said earlier, that would be too easy.
Well, lets think about what we know.
One looks like a Metroid Game.
Two is Grand Theft Auto 3.
Three is unknown.
4 looks like Doom to me.

Metroid
GTA3
Contra
Doom
No idea what connects them, just stating the known facts.

All of them introduced some sort of revolutionary feature to video gaming?
That’s really vague, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the answer was something along those lines.

I wonder if it’s something to do with music…
Apparently they’re making/have already made/not sure an album of Metroid Music.
GTA3 had a soundtrack released, I’m 99% sure.
Vampire Weekend released an (excellent) album called Contra
And I would be very surprised if there isn’t an album called Doom

I think this is it. I definitely know Doom was like the first FPS ever.

Something about having Super in it? Games that have a number of games to the series? Games that went from 2D to 3D? I’m just shooting things off, I don’t even know if these are applicable

This is the closest idea so far but it’s still incorrect. :P

Is it like the popularization or starting of genres? Like Metroidvania, Cheat Codes(idk), Sandboxes, FPS
Or maybe its games that have been forever immortalized by some specific feature, not necessarily an innovation

Games where you can enter cheatcodes to access different stuff?
Metroid had JUSTINBAILEY to play suitless.
GTA has loads of them. NOBODYLIKESME comes to mind, weirdly enough.
Contra, obviously, has the Konami Code.
Doom had the ID cheats. I remember IDKFA for infinite ammo.

A good tip: instantly pick out the ‘and’ from each anagram and then try to identify the country first?
