Rules and Gameplay
Here is an outline of the basic rules and gameplay for this forum game.
How to Sign Up
Just say you want to sign up. This should be easy enough! :P
Game Beginning
The game will start 48 hours after this post if at least six people have signed up. Up to 18 people can sign up.
Events
Each event is a round with different instructions. At the beginning of each event it’ll be explained how to play in that specific event. However, the logic and optimal strategies for each will not be explained, as those will be left for you to think.
Almost all events will involve another player and you interacting with each other. You may each private message each other, communicate publicly in this thread or not communicate at all. Once you’ve done that, you must send me a private message with your action. This action may be different from what you have told the other player. In fact, lying to an extent is encouraged.
Points
Everyone begins with 70 points. In order to win, you must be the first user to reach exactly 0 points. In other words, a low score is optimal and necessary to win. Usually, in each round the winner(s) will receive −7 points; the second will receive −4 points (or if there are several winners in one event); the third to the last will receive −3 points; if a user does nothing in an event, they receive +5 points. If a user reaches 90 points they are eliminated.
As said, to win you must have 0 points, not less than that or more, exactly 0, so you must think of tactics towards the last events as to how you will achieve exactly 0 points. You can have a negative number of points, and that isn’t necessarily bad, nor does it eliminate you. However, the points you receive in each event may vary according to the rules of each event.
