Excuse me while I go slam my face against a window. Why would you deliberately go against my PM for a single point?

Lol, same here. Looks like T6 has the best chance. Reason why T6 didnt got straight was that he risked a -1
EDIT: O, maybe T6 was inactive

1 person needed.
Right now we have 17 players, and thus one more is needed as most games have groups of 2, 3, 6, and 9. I messaged coolo2011 and got no response (coolo was the next reserve). I’ll message thijs now, he’s the next. However, if anyone sees this before thijs replies, they can sign up instead.
Previously a person starting mid-game would start at 70, however, for now this has been changed to their points being the median, as it will encourage more people to want to play.
So whenever one more person signs up, we can continue the game. The next game will be Traveler’s Dilemma, as you can see in the title.

Event X: Traveler’s DilemmaIn this event you’ll be in 9 groups of 2. This event will end in about 24 hours from this post. You must whisper me your action. However, only I will know in which group you’re each in.
An airline loses two suitcases belonging to two different travelers, you and your pair. Both suitcases happen to be identical and contain identical items. An airline manager tasked to settle the claims of both travelers explains that the airline is liable for a maximum of $100 per suitcase (he is unable to find out directly the price of the items), and in order to determine an honest appraised value of the antiques the manager separates both travelers so they can’t talk to each other, and asks them to write down the amount of their value at no less than $2 and no larger than $100. He also tells them that if both write down the same number, he will treat that number as the true dollar value of both suitcases and reimburse both travelers that amount. However, if one writes down a smaller number than the other, this smaller number will be taken as the true dollar value, and both travelers will receive that amount along with a bonus/malus (malus being the opposite of bonus): $2 extra will be paid to the traveler who wrote down the lower value and a $2 deduction will be taken from the person who wrote down the higher amount. The challenge is: what strategy should both travelers follow to decide the value they should write down?
So there’ll be winners and losers in this event, maybe draws. If there are 8 winners and 8 losers, then the winners will get −1, −2, −3, etc. The player who does best in the round will get the lowest amount (highest negative number), the player who does the second best will get the second lowest amount, etc. The same goes for the losers: the person who loses by the most will get +8, the second will get +7, etc. However, if there are draws, then this changes to up to 7 and −7 if there’s 1 draw, up to 6 and −6 if there are 2 draws, etc. As +8 and +7 and such figures would be very high, the losers will only get that number divided by 2, rounded up.
If your pair does nothing, they will be saying $50. If both in a pair do nothing, then they both get $50. If you draw you get −1 point.
Example: A says $100, B says $50. As it says above, the amount that is assumed correct by the airline manager is the lowest, so $50. B would get $52 and A would get $48. (Keep reading to see how many points they each get.)
C says $98, D says $100. The correct assumed amount by the airline manager is $98. C gets $100 and D gets $96.
E says $49, F says $36. The correct assumed amount by the airline manager is $38. F gets $38, E gets $34.
C would get the highest amount as C got the most dollars. Then it would be A and E, as they both won. After that it would be D, B, and F. So: C > A > E > D > B > F. They each get, respectively: −3, −2, −1, +1, +2, +3. (But as explained above, losers’ points get halved and rounded up, so for D, B, F: +1, +1, +2.)
Any questions you may have, please ask!

Haha, unfortunately I can’t let you know your partner for this event! In all other events you will, but not in Traveler’s Dilemma. Why? Because the airline manager is asking you and your pair what the values of your suitcases are. He’s asking you both in different times, without knowing each other. Also, if you knew your pair you’d be able to whisper him or her, and you shouldn’t be able to in this particular event.
However, you do have a pair/partner. I’ve got a spreadsheet here, and you’re in Group E, ZombiestookmyTV.
And yes, just PM me your answer. That would be great. I hope you enjoy the game!

Unfortunately, I can’t let anyone else know in which group they’re in, sorry! If I let you know which group you’re in, you’ll have the following information: whether or not you are in the same group as ZombiestookmyTV. And that information is already too much to have.
Don’t worry though, the event will end tomorrow and then you’ll know who your partner was all along. :P

Event XI: Competition GameAgain you’ll be in 9 groups of 2, and that’s how it’s going to be until Event XVI. This event will end in about 24 hours from this post. You must whisper me your action. You’ll know who you’re grouped up with unlike last round.

Player 1 is purple, on the left; and player 2 is pink, on the right.
You must both whisper me one of the following numbers: 0, 1, 2, or 3. Whichever number you whisper me, put together with your pair’s number will determine how many points you get. If your pair whispers me nothing, they’ll be saying 3. This is similar to a few previous events so I don’t think I need to explain any more; however, any questions you may have, please ask them.
Just because why not, the outcome in the image above will be doubled in amount of points. I could go ahead and fix it but it would take me another 10 minutes and ain’t nobody got time for dat.
Example 1: player 1 whispers me nothing (which becomes 3), player 2 says 2. The outcome is (0, −4). Player 1 gets 0 and player 2 gets −8.
Example 2: player 1 says 1, player 2 says 3. The outcome is (−3, +1). Player 1 gets −6 and player 2 gets +2.
Example 3: player 1 says 3, player 2 says 0. The outcome is (+2, −2). Player 1 gets +4 and player 2 gets −4.
Groups of Event XI: Competition GameThe players that are above the other player in their group are player 1 (purple) and the players below are player 2 (pink). E.g., GottaAskTheMan is player 1 (purple) and BCLEGENDS is player 2 (pink).

The situation is identical for both players except for the case where both say 2. Is that a mistake?
