Nicholas

My eyes remained closed.
“Ah, yes, the book,” I sensed.
I was completely at peace.
“Well, how about we do a practice battle?” I say as I grin.
My eyelids shoot open as a bolt of lightning strikes me. I disappear and reappear a few feet away from Axel, my hand pointing at him. I fire a bolt of white hot flames at Axel’s feet, making him stumble back. When he looks up, my sword is hovering above his chest, lightning snapping at him.

(His face wasn’t like that XD)

Alex West
Alex goes to his tent to rest.

Axel “Well thats not what I had in-WHOA!.” Axel gets shot by fire, and he deflected the lightning with his hands. “I can’t fight you with these powers!!! stop!”

Leonard Is holding a knife over Alex who is sleeping………… He raises it up………………….Stops…….. He lowers it gently, and walks away. No one noticed him.

(Nothing actually hit you. The fire hit the ground beneath you, knocking you off balance, and the lightning is on my sword, snapping at you, because my sword is hovering above your chest.)

Nicholas

I grin like a madman before breaking into laughter.
“Alright, alright,” I say as I finish laughing at Axel.
I extend my arm at Axel and help him up. I pat him on the back.
“So, what did you have in mind?” I asked him, curiously. My sword had disappeared from my hand.

Kold

We had been fighting…the gladiator infected and I…we had been fighting for well over a couple of hours, pounding into each other with various attacks and great degrees of strength. We weren’t letting up on each other. It was like we were destined to really be opponents.

Axel “I was going to TEACH you how to disintegrate things with your hands, IMAGINE what would have happened if I hit you with this light? I don’t think it would have been much of a fight.”

Nicholas

I look over at Axel.
“Teach me how to disintegrate things? How so?” I asked him. “Also, now that I know what the light does, you have no idea how my reflexes will respond to it. The light seems to travel slow, so my reflexes would quickly make me bolt to the side. And, I haven’t trained in ages. This training has increased my speed and strength,”

“Well it was meant for zombies. And unsuspecting people, I could just touch you and BOOM you disintegrate. I created it. Want to know how to use it? You seem to be better at it than me.”

Nicholas

I though about it for a moment.
“Well… I suppose,” I consented.
Do not worry, hero. I’ll give you a hint, light creates shadow, a voice hissed in my head. It echoed around in there, lasting for a while.
“What do you have in mind?” I asked Axel, thinking about the hint.

Axel “No offense, but you suck with fire”- Axel breathes snorts and fire comes out, and the smoke turns into a horse…Then disappears… “This is not fire, its a different element, the smoke is denser that fire itself and its harder to put out but burns slower… Here let me show you.” He takes out a knife.“You must drink your own blood so your brain gets stimuli, then you must do these meditation techniques I am about to show you. Are you up for it?”

Nicholas

I stare at Axel with a blank expression.
“First of all… I suck at fire?” I snap at him. “Bro, I could bu—”
Relax, hero. Practice shall make perfect. Learn from this sorcerer, he may be able to help you, a voice chimed in my head.
I took a deep breath.
“Drink my own blood, eh?” I asked him. After thinking for a moment I agreed. “Okay, I’ll go along with this. But you weren’t exactly coherent of what this will result with. What will I be able to do?” I asked him.

Axel “You can expel heat through your circulatory system. You are doing it from your hands, that is wrong and stupid. Fire needs oxygen, cut yourself and start drinking.”

Nicholas

I look at my palms.
“Dude, I can keep a fire alive for a long time through my hands. You just haven’t seen it. I just get too tired from doing it because it takes a lot of concentration and stuff, because it’s not from magic, but… supernatural powers, I guess,” I tell him. “Let me show you.”
I bring up my hand and point at a tree. Fire suddenly spews out of it like a flamethrower, burning up the tree to a crisp. I keep it alive for a good minute before I start to have trouble breathing.
“See?” I tell him. “I just stopped because I had trouble breathing. I’ll still go along with your blood-drinking thing, though. Let me just meditate. It brings me to an extreme relaxation with increased abilities.”
I sit down and close my eyes, imagining nothing but a single candle lit sitting in the middle of a dark room with elaborate carvings and decorations on the floor.

Axel “No! Don’t meditate like that! Here let me show you.” Axel climbs unto a tree and hangs upside on it with only his feet., and closes his eyes. This way your brain will receive more stimuli. Take deep, deep breaths and continue drinking your blood."

Nicholas

“Well,” I say. “This increases many of my abilities, including endurance of pain. Cut me now while I’m relaxed.”

Axel “Actually the whole point of this is to” Axel SWIPES Nicholas hand, blood comes pouring out. “RESISTS PAIN! You need to endure FIRE coming out your fucking lungs. So drink as much as possible, and don’t throw up. I will be back in an hour and don’t get out of that position, and no sleeping.”

(goodnight im sleeping now)

Nicholas

I open my eyes and, with a brief moment of extreme power, stop the blood in mid-air and pour it into my mouth.
“So, I don’t get any abilities?” I yell at him. “Also, I thought you were trying to teach me how to disintegrate my foes!”
I choke a little from all the blood I’ve drank. My brain started to tingle. I felt something—something behind me. I turned around but saw nothing but my shadow… except that my shadow was glowing with light.
“What…?” I asked the shadow.
It didn’t respond, but soon went back to a normal shadow.

Emilie

“How could you Emilie, he was your own father!”

“I… I don’t know! It must have been an accident, I’d never do that to him!”

“Is that why you have his blood all over your hands then?”

I look down, and it turns out my mother was right. They were covered in blood, and it was none other than my father’s.

“But…”

“You’re a killer!” she chants, making me cover my ears in response. Her voice gets to a point where it becomes unbearable, and it was then I finally woke up.

“I need to stop having that dream…” I whisper, turning over to get into a more comfortable position.

Abbey Abbey notices Emilie wake up ‘’Are you alright?’’
(I will probably be gone for 7 hours now)

Kold

The gladiator infected and I both take a knee for reasons of resting. We are exhausted, without a doubt but our fight isn’t over…we just both need a break. I spot various wounds and injuries to take advantage of on the gladiator. No doubt he spots some on me as well that he will probably try for. Big fighters need long rests though so the time spent is worth it. His muscles are impressive…like he’d been working out. I don’t think that’s the case though. I think they are big because of the infection that spread through him. It’s strange now that I think about it. For some, the infection is sort of similar to how Steve Roger’s body reacted to the Super Soldier serum when he was made a part of Project: Rebirth. If I recall correctly, his body adapted well to it while other people affected by it became merciless killing machines that died soon after a hard battle. Their bodies couldn’t take the serum but Roger’s body was different. Soon thereafter, he became Captain America. This gladiator infected and I are similar although we likely are not going to die after a battle. One of us must die in the heat of battle and it certainly won’t be me. The gladiator got up as soon as I did. We both roared and fought again. I sock him into the woods near the campsite and head on in to continue it. I get on top of him and start delivering punch after punch to his mug.

Axel After an hour….. Axel returns to Nicholas location. “Alright Xeno, I got a friend for you.” A monstrous zombie is trapped in a cage. “You see the brain works better on impulse so.” Axel faces the cage toward Nicholas who has been bleeding for hours and opens it. The zombie runs hysterically toward him. Smelling the delicious blood. “Don’t move! Just take a deep breath and and think about anything that has to do with FIRE!” Axel jumps out of the way just incase…….

Nicholas

I sensed the zombie about to crush me. I got up, eyes still closed, and moved away. I turned toward the zombie and saw it in my mind. Suddenly, two streaks of fire flew out into clear sight. They had come from behind me, and they were heading for the zombie. The fire went through the zombie, leaving both of us confused. I shot my hand up and out came an inferno of fire. It burned the zombie to a crisp. I kept it alive for a good minute, and even then, I was breathing fine and everything else was good. I opened my eyes to find it on the floor, burned to a crisp.
“So… eat it’s brain?” I asked Axel. “Wouldn’t that be… dangerous?”

Axel “That was…. AWESOME! I couldn’t even do that…” He flips a couple pages of his book…… “Yep, you are supposed to eat a human beings brain… But since there aren’t that many to spare you must eat that zombies brain. Its cooked so I guess the virus was destroyed in the process……” Axel looks at Nicholas…………
