Fighter Arena

This is going to be a game combining strategy, rpg and luck elements. In this game you are a person owning a few fighters which you pit in a fight against other players as your self. You can have one fight every 3 days. In these fights your fighters gain levels and earn you gold, with this gold you will buy armor and weapons for them. Each fighter can have one weapon and one armor. So each fighters stats will be determined by a armor, weapon, and his level. Everyone starts with 3 fighters and they can chose up to 3 different armor and weapons for them to start with. Each weapon and armor has their own properties. When a fight is to be initated, you will be asked to tell me your strategy in private. There are 3 lines in a battle, and you assign your troops according to this. They travel the lines and fight with the opposite fighters. The player who wins the most lines win the first fight. Then they travel to the middle, and the fighters who were left alive will battle for the remaining forces, the one players fighters who survive the middle gets the second win point. The last battle happens with everyones troops fully healed for a last fight with full force. In this stage you can decide the tank for the battle, the enemies are forced to focus the tank, when the tank dies, they will kill the weakest fighters first. The person who wins 2 out of 3 battles wins the prize.

Further Notes: So I can’t help but wonder that the fights are kind of biased, in that whoever wins the first fight of any set is seemingly guaranteed to win the second, on the grounds that the winner of round 1 will inevitably have more units remaining than the loser, if said loser has any unit remaining at all. Also, the unit lines seem completely unnecessary, on the grounds that they only have a role in the first fight. My suggestion would be to make all the rounds uniform in nature – either have everyone fighting everyone, or have the lines feature in all three rounds. Also, everyone should be healed/revived at the end of every round. That’s a relatively important thing, too.
F.N. Addendum 1: Also, I can’t help but feel that fights aren’t going to last for more than three rounds, given the damage output to health ratio.
F.N. Addendum 1.5: Well, maybe four rounds, given a certain combination I’ve just spied.
F.N. Addendum 2: You’ve gotten the damage on Team American Swiss Cheese wrong, too. They all need to go up one point each.

I am not sure if you understood the first two fight, but let me try to explain it if you didnt. If you did understand please move to the next chapter of my post. First the guys fight, lets assume the players sent one fighter for each line. For example player a has one strong two weak fighters. The strong one wins and the weak ones lose against the enemy. But then the strong one beats the two injured ones in the second fight. Thus giving both players one win. Or player a can send two weak ones on one lane, and the strong one alone so he can potentially win two lanes but lose one. In result he wins two lines and gets a win out of that. These decisions take impact on the second round tho.

What do you think if fighters are healed after round 1? The line round.

Thats why i gave it a week time, i will balance the starting items, and i will notify the players who chose these items if they want to possibly change.

Flag Post

Under what circumstances would a player end up having one fighter who was stronger than their other two fighters? That seems reasonably implausible, assuming they all level at the same rate. And from what I can see, one fighter will be curbstomped by two fighters, simply because the two fighters have a much higher damage output, if only for one turn, and the health values are so low. Furthermore, there’s no point in the line mechanic if it only functions in one round out of three. You may as well just have every fighter on both teams fighting the other team all at once in every round, under those circumstances. And they should be healed after every round. And please read back over my sign-up post.

I will think over this in the night and try to do something about this which would be wise. Good job on pointing out flaws.

Thanks for accepting me :D

Also the base stat improvement looks good.
Studded Armor i’m unsure of.
I think the chain vest should stay at 3 health but gain the 2 damage reduction
Shroud of Evasion is good.
Short Sword and Halberd are perfect.
Novice Staff i’m unsure of.
