I’ll soak in water piping hot.
My essence goes through my see through clothes.
Used up am I; I’ve gone to pot.”

I will show you the world if you let me.
One you’ll never see if you let me.
Black I am, but spring to life,
when beckoned filled with light.
Make you know people you don’t,
make you care for people who won’t.
Those I show are rich
Those I show are poor

and then puts something in it.
It now weighs less than 20 pounds.”

Ah I got it, the answer is quite simple, the first number in example 1=3 is the word one, the second number, 3 describes how many letters is in the word one. So the answers for both eleven and twelve is 6. thank you.

“The fields wealth I trade for gold
yet wisdom in my fruit I hold”
Answer is the Hazel tree.
:: Fields wealth = Hay :: Trade for gold = Sell :: Fruit of the hazel tree imbues wisdom in folklore ::
“Given in death though I am not high
my sorrowful branches sweep the sky”
Answer is the Willow tree.
:: Given in death = Will :: Not high = Low :: “Weeping” Willow ::
“Mouse catcher, closer than friend
wind dancer at the boughs end”
Answer is a Catkin.
Mouse catcher = Cat :: Closer than friend = Kin ( your family) :: A catkin = long flower cluster, grows on the end of branches
The answer to the last one is not a mirror, good guess though :)

Nice one! You got it :D
Television was the right answer.
I will show you the world if you let me. :: [TV can show you pictures of the world]
One you’ll never see if you let me. :: [But if you stay in front of it you’ll never get to see the real thing]
Black I am, but spring to life, :: [black monitor]
when beckoned filled with light. :: [turned on]
Make you know people you don’t, :: [makes you feel as if you know the actors, when really you dont]
make you care for people who won’t. :: [Stars have legions of fans but the adoration is seldom reciprocated]
Those I show are rich :: [TV personalities are usually rich in the monetary sense]
Those I show are poor :: [Couch potatoes are usually poor in a lifestyle sense]
Great job!
