I changed my action to: Find a flying type pokemon, catch it and learn it Fly.

I slowly creep up twords those two along side the walls of the arena in the shadows and get ready to pounce,then quickly cut through both of their necks

Combat rolls have not been done yet, so you are not missing anything.

Would the fact that my portal building is an abillity give it a boost in construction? or is it the same as even if I didn’t have it as an abillity?

Active abillity: Create a perfect demon portal without the need of a roll, cooldown 1 turn.

Cooldown: 1 turn?

You could just make a bunch of portals every two turns and have a factory of shadow-making portals. Cooldown should be like, 12 turns.
