Need help with english grammer! =)

ok, i sucks with english grammer! (fortunately, it’s not my first language=)

And so my first game “MrGarden” has some ugly english grammer… (http://www.kongregate.com/games/Yespunk/mrgarden)

Can someone help me to correct this? i would be very grateful (and people also i guess as they won’t pass out again reading my texts=)!

Here’re the sentences:

- Hello, welcome in my flower shop!

- My flowers grown unless they are cut and alternate color at each growth.

- your goal is to cut in the order the 3 flowers i ask for

- You cuts flowers from my garden, with the left mouse button

- Do it before i gets impatient and angry, otherwise it’s game over…

- OH! This line is gilded because we cut the third flower in it!

- That’s very usefull! If you cut the last flower, five new flowers will grown!

- A council… try to turn all my garden gilded, you’ll be surprised

- And now the most important

- When you cuts quickly the 3 requested flowers, you light a yellow dot in the bottom

- When the 3 yellow dots are lit, a brilliant seed grown in my garden. Cut it!

- Use a brilliant seed when you doesn’t find a bouquet’s flower in the garden!

- Well, that’s all for now. Come on, it’s time to open the shop…

i guess is should replace gilded by lighted, it’ll probably make more sense for everyone.

Use lit instead of lighted. Also, bright might be closer to gild in meaning (unless you meant to turn gold in color). You could use: “A council… try to brighten (light up) all my garden – you’ll be surprised.” and “This line is bright (lit) because we’ve cut the third flower in (on) it.” [alternatives in parenthesis]

why do people use U in the word color….

why do people use U in the word color….

It’s the British spelling. A lot of words with just “o” in American English will have “ou” in the British version. Some words with a “z” are instead “s” (realised instead of realized), and some words use a “c” instead of “s” (defence and defense).

British speakers can feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

I find myself using defense and defence interchangeably all the time I MUST BE BRITISH TO!!! neat!

why do people use U in the word color….

Though many had done so before, Noah Webster (of Webster’s dictionary) is credited with taking out the U’s. He was trying to simplify spellings by getting rid of what he thought as unneeded letters.

You should see some of the simplifications of spelling that Benjamin Franklin advocated; he dropped about half of all the letters.

It’s seriously spelled ‘realized’ in America? That looks wierd o.O
