I’ve looked around and can’t find a good definite answer for adjusting Stage.width and Stage.height in flash. I can set them in the default properties but any actionscript created movieclips will still draw outside of the state.width and stage.height area and when I do a trace it says the stage.width and stage.height are different values than what I set it to. Is this normal or is flash automatically supposed to clip any movieclips that are outside of the stage.width and stage.height?
They are read only and they refer to whatever the current stage size is, meaning those numbers will change if you scale the window during runtime. The proper way to set them is in the file properties. You then embed the swf inside an html page. Dont run the swf directly in the browser, otherwise you will have scaling and stage issues.
