GiTD [#24] Entries and Discussion

Sunday 12th February 1am GMT (8pm EST, 5pm PST)
That GMT with the date (12th) could be wrong. It might be the 13th. I am bad at timezone conversions)

Prizes:
Kreds: 175 Kreds Guaranteed by 4 donor(s).
$20 in Kreds prizes by 1 donor(s). Not sure exact number, so I’m separating it
If more than 10 entries, I’ll buy K+ for the winner (or if they already have it, I’ll tip them the equivalent of the $30)

Information:
For those who do not understand the rules of GiTD, you have 10 days to create a game based on the chosen theme. Once the deadline has passed a new voting thread will be created where users will vote for the person’s game who they think should win. Using an engine is acceptable as long as the person submitting it creates the majority of the game. You may work in a team of up to 2 people.

Very busy studying this week, but perhaps I’ll find time to put together a quick entry. Either way, I’ll donate some kreds to the winner (rolling them over from the last GiTD) and keep an eye on the entries.

Hold your themes till the day on GDR unless you don’t think you can make it, cause I want to reuse the thread for entries.

Make a mechanic a requirement, not a theme. Like platformer instead of pirates, clicking instead of monsters, free roam instead of dinosaurs.

This sounds like a really great idea. I didn’t do ocean, because it was to broad of a category.

How about a theme and a mechanic requirement? :D If not, then I think a mechanic requirement would be better than just a theme. Also, thanks for choosing the 2nd, 1 day before I’m going back to school. ;-;

I think a required theme and mechanic would be a bit too much, else people might get the same ideas

Anyone can join. You can use practically anything to create the game, but preferably it should be on the web since I don’t think voters would enjoy downloading a zip file… You can also join whenever you want. As long as the entry is posted in this thread before the deadline you are fine.

Also, my theme idea is “Heroes” (I say it now because I won’t be on GDR today due to school).

you really need to start listing the time for people in other timezones too.. I missed the theme discussion even though I was here for most the daytime (my time anyway) and i’ll probs miss the start of the contest too.
