nice game!
Controls work well, but why does it auto target? the targetting doesn’t work so well on those asteroids, because its not shooting where the ateroid is going to be, its shooting where it currently is.
Should I add an option to lock the gun in a forward firing position?
Maybe allow the player to move to the other side of the screen as well from the oppisite side?
The control scheme does not exactly lend itself to that, seeing as the craft aims at the mouse, which cannot be detected when outside of the game’s area.
I would improve the title screen. I love the direction its going, but I would have the text visible, just gray. And when you hover over the text, it brightens up. Same concept, but much quicker to read.
Better?

Cool! That game looks great, I love the art style. The health bar looks cool too.

MegaSWF as a whole appears to be out of commission at the moment. I’m not sure why it’s not working, but these things tend to get fixed themselves within a few hours.

Here is a second project I am working on.
Can’t actually show any pics of the gameplay yet, just some art.

Epic Tavor. I think the magazine could use a little work though. Other than that, it’s amazing.

1337al, I hope you plan on fixing the dialogue up. There’s some grammar problems. xD

Art looks awesome, I can tell that game is going to be a success. You might want to lower the hamburger a few pixels down or change the table’s angle if your going for a constant perspective though, but that’s the only flaw I can find.

Art is nice, but the battle layout seems a bit offputting, and you may want to change the font. Also, I noticed the tabs above. XD

the first picture was a joke, my game is a simple adventure game / fetch quest. there are no battles in it (originally were going to be but removed to cut back on the amount of work i’d have to do…)

1337, you can do the quote box by prefixing a line with “bq.”, or by wrapping it with

Also, is the person commanding him a Soviet officer?

Those are hairballs, but the radio commandant is just called General Face, and only consists of two frames of poorly contrived animation, and thus has no national affiliation.

Here’s another screenshot; this is what happens when you manage to fill the ‘prestige’ bar.

Looks interesting, is this for testing your own algorithms? I’ve always suspected that some Flash native classes could be heavily beat by something I write myself, but never bothered to test. All I’m aware of are those little differences like nesting to test fewer logical cases or whatever. I’d be thrilled to find implementation that makes graphic functions less CPU-intensive in Flash.

Have another Starcatz picture. Man I hate roaches.

Yes, I have some utility code and also for unit testing game logic.

Double posting to post an update on my procedural music playground:

Top lets you set harmonics for the instrument to play, graph shows waveform and Fourier transform of the current note, keyboard lets you play stuff, and the stave shows music being played or (in this case) generated. I think there’s some promise here.
