Anyone entering? Looks like you can have access to free Unity licenses and other things.

I probably shouldn’t but probably will. I need a kick up the backside to make something worthwhile and this can make up for not being able to do the last game in 10 days

- It crashed when I hit the register button. Maybe I should take the hint?

What do winners get?

The pride of a job well done. Plus a game made of their own devising! That’s a pretty sweet reward in itself.

Doesn’t look like you get free unity licenses and other things. Also it’s not a contest, just a month for people to develop games

has some nice informative links.
But If Outstream is correct, you don’t win anything.

There’s no prize (I don’t enter things purely for prizes) but it does explain a bit about the licensing when you register – doesn’t really apply to me as I have everything I need.

The deadline and a pretty much guaranteed audience is far more interesting and useful than a prize. Same with the PGGC stuff.

It’s NaNoWriMo for games.

Pretty much. Its about just getting as many developers on board together to see what can be made in a month while celebrating the joys of development in its products.

Email from them once you register:

Hello, NaGaDeMo participants! Thanks so much for trusting us with your email address — we know the eternal fear of spam under which the entire internet lives, and will not abuse this bit of knowledge you’ve given us. You’ll be receiving just a few mails from us: this one, about engine licensing (and perhaps one additional if another deal comes through), one about the kickoff, and a final one at the conclusion to let you know how to share your game.

IF YOU WANT A UNITY LICENSE:
Send an email to license-request@nagademo.com with the subject “UNITY LICENSE REQUEST” — we’ll email you back your license code once we get it from the Unity people.

IF YOU WANT A STENCYL LICENSE:
1) Sign up for a free account at their website f you haven’t already.
2) Send an email to nagademo@stencyl.com which includes your full name and Stencyl username.

Unity always crashes on me. I couldn’t even begin to imagine the horror of trying to develop games on it. :/

Well, my seven-year-old and I managed to get something together for NaGaDeMo. We’ve been really busy with other things, so I’m delighted that we got anything playable at the end of it!
