Okay so I’m working on a turn based game (eg: sonny/sonny2) <— my game is sort of a copy of those/what I want my game to end up as. I have most of the coding done and all I really need to do now is add more attacks/enemy’s/upgrade the graphics/levels/add story line (in my opinion the boring stuff) so I’m here to ask for help on some ideas of what the attacks could be. Currently the theme is just a circle which can: use magic to throw a mystical ball at an enemy/bump into the enemy. Also what the attack does and how it might look would be wonderful :)

Well i got alot of ideas for attack that you will be willing to hear me out if that is the case it would be great as I have a lot to say the first attacks should be melee however they are the strongest type that is the ranged attacks are next they include crossbows and guns when you get enough money you should be able to buy explosive weapons at the shop after you get to a level which will unlock it therefore they come later in the game after the melee and light ranged weapons.

You can add Summons to some mages, a group skill (a skill where all the group are involved), Double attacks, Triple Attacks.
Here are some skill/magic names: Fire Strike, Luminara, Omega, Soul drain, Energy Evacuation.

One of the most common attacks in turn-based games is Charge (unleash a powerful attack which will be unleashed in the next turn). The whole point of a turn-based game is strategy. You could add a move that throws an item. The item has a counter on it, and stays on the board until the counter reaches 21. At this point, the item explodes, dealing massive damage. However, there is a catch. You must add a number between 1 to 3 to the counter before attacking. At the end of your turn, the counter passes to another player.
Alternatively, combine strategy with luck. One move throws an item that is set to explode 3 to 6 turns after it has been thrown. You can throw the item to someone else, however, by doing this you miss a turn. My two ideas would probably work well with multiple players.

You can add a pet, too, like a reinforcement.
