Could be nice, except it’s on twitter. Why would you run a one-year effort on a medium that’s tailored to the attention span of gnats?

So you can post quick status updates (and get them) and you aren’t required to own a site? I think its a smart idea.

Twitter is something you either love or hate I guess. I’m pretty bad at ‘using’ it but I find out more about games and related news from it than I do anywhere else. The size of the posts makes it easy to sift out the irrelevant stuff and it’s perfect for little update streams. It works really well for screenshotsaturday.com and I think this will be similar.

Maybe. Considering how long it took me to complete my last project, I could certainly use a motivator of sorts. Unfortunately, one month doesn’t seem like enough time to make something that could be considered “above average.”

I could try but I’m going to get very busy around the middle of the year, so I doubt I’d be able to do it.

When it all kicks off I’ll update the OP to show everyone’s games each month. I’ve got you all on the old Twitter, so I’ll try to get them from there – but if you can also post in here when you’ve finished a game, that would help :)

Anyone reading this who is in the GiTD might as well sign up to one game a month. There’s no obligation to make 12 games; you could just submit 3-4 GiTDs over the year and reap the extra plays/praise/feedback from it.

Yeah it’ll be great if we keep an active thread with the 1GAM games and stuff

I’m not a very good programmer, and I haven’t been at this very long. Have yet to finish a project. (or at least in my eyes the things I did complete weren’t worthy of my association with “a program” or “a game”)
But thats why I’m joining. Its been a few years… lets make some games!
